RIP Jim Steinman, Those tunes and Todd Rundgrens production / Guitar work on Bat out of hell were as essential as Meatloafs vocals... A brilliant songwriter.

Loved "Bat Out Of Hell" as a young fella, it's still something I can listen to and enjoy the production, scope and sheer grandeur of it, that 70's musical schtick/schlock reached it's Zenith around this time, but i'll give Steinman his due, you knew it was one of his songs... not everyone is that distinctive

He was a great producer and great composer. I like his work with Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler a lot.
