Forgot to say it's down and dirty, the way I like it. Don't want to repeat what anyone has said but this is what I would expect to hear from The Stones and/or Mick. Also, I think it was quite evident from Saturday Night Live that Dave Grohl is very compatible with Mick. It's not The Stones but it's damn good. Thank you for this one Mick!

Loved it! Great vocals, funny lyrics (Bill Gates, LOL). Impressive by Mick. Grohl is not my cup of tea.

okay but does it detract from the legacy

It adds to Mick's legacy. That first review referred to him as "prolific", which he certainly is - but you'd NEVER know that judging by the Rolling Stones' discography.

I think Mick & Dave Grohl played the best version of IORR I've heard in years on SNL. Maybe they should start a band together.

LOOKING OUT FROM THESE PRISON WALLS

Is Mick becoming an Ellen Degeneres, comparing his million dollar mansions to a prison?

Yup.
And apparently he's also taking Samba classes, teaching himself to cook, and cleaning kitchen sinks.

Good eye.

I don't even wanna imagine what KR is going say about this…

You wait for Keith's decision whether you're allowed to like it or not?

Probably even better than “God gave me everything “ and that was f””kin’ awesome.
Mick really in touch with his fellow countryman releasing it the week we came out of lockdown.
Got a sneaky feeling Keef is gonna put something out which will mirror this gem.
If we could just get them together...

NilsHolgersson- I like what you're saying. During absence of Stones activity would be nice if these guys collaborated more. And I too agree that was at least the most smoking version of IORR in decades, but not the best. Actually I'm in love with the newest version on the fully finished studio out-takes CD. That's Rock And Roll!

I read through the last two hours worth of YouTube comments, and I'd say it's about 10 to 1 in favor of the song. People seem to really dig it.

What's not to like ?
It kicks and rips and it's funny.
Oh and for us fans it's Mick like he's always been (where is the guy pushing 80 ?!) like he was when we first heard him, like WE were at that time ;-)

That was a cool tune. I dug how it had, most likely not on purpose, elements of Ruthless People in it. Definitely one of my favorite Mick solo tracks.

that's the way to do Mick! put out if you're writing stuff

about the song: not my cup of tea

I might add: happy it is not for the "new stones album"

Well I'll be damned - when you least expect it Mick unleashes a new tune, but after several listens, sounds awkward and contrived - maybe it's the addition of Dave Grohl.
Better than Getta Grip and England Lost, but...seems a bit forced....a weird blend of faux punk and generic rock...lyrically and musically nowhere near as good as Ghost Town imo...

Maybe/hopefully Keith will release a new tune next.thumbs up

faux punk and generic rock, you nailed it Hairball, but i do think it is good for mick to put out his thing no matter what

Nice tongue-in-cheek song! If we don't get another Stones album, I'm just hoping Mick and Dave collab more in the future.

Great!

First impression:

Pure Jagger.

BUT

At the same time it is hard to find stones sound/flavor/scent in it.

This is the first time that it happens to me with a Jagger's song.

I forgot to add I sort of like Dave Grohl and some of the early Foo Fighters tunes, but for me he doesn't really gel with the Stones or Mick at all.
I saw him guest with the Stones on Bitch in Anaheim 2013, and he sort of slaughtered and butchered the tune turning it in to a complete noise fest and/or nauseating mess.

Yes it's good to see Mick at least being musically active, but just wish he would focus more on the supposed new Stones album! Maybe this was another tune Keith had rejected as not being Stonesy enough,
and Mick felt the urge to release it anyways so that's what he did. Whatever the case, thank God there's the Fully Finished Studio outtakes to fall back on as I'm still thoroughly enjoying that massive leak. thumbs up

Why does it need to have a Stones sound/flavor/scent in it?

Mick's guitaring should be the obvious sound/flavor/scent.

It sounds fine. I won't be buying it, but it's fun to hear. Good energy. I didn't buy 'Gotta Get a Grip/England Lost' either. I guess this is all eroding at my "completist" status, but I guess the first crack in that title was when I sold "Superheavy" and "Goddess in the Doorway".

Speaking of 'Ruthless People' (GasLight) that reminds me...it seems strange that it wasn't included on "The Very Best of Mick Jagger".

Maybe his recent output (combined with a few add-ons from the older solo records) could fill out an updated Best Of...in which case I suppose I would find myself having bought 'Easy Sleazy' cool smiley

+1 thumbs up

about grohl I kind of like the saturday night live iorr version (if i remember correctly) other than that my musical taste depart onto the opposite direction of things like ff

it's easy here to quote Keith: rock is nothing, it's all about the roll

I mean that to me jagger songs always have a sound that automatically put me in a stones wavelength. Not in this case. Either way I love this song.

More insipid social commentary from Mick. No emotional power. Gimme Crosseyed Heart.
