eh guy the "stade de france" 2003 was not a disaster for everybody. Perhaps not luck for you that day. For many people it was great.

whenever i am hit again by the vastness of what this handful of skinny English cats keeps pouring out for us.

Brian's death.
the terrifying parts of Keith's journey - oh man there were some scary times.
last year - even though they waited until they could tell us *good* news - when they let us know that Charlie had been in treatment.
sometimes i want to wrap my coat around them.

smile: may 10th 2005, when the curtain dropped at that press conference -
ahhhh can you believe it - it's the ~*Rolling @#$%& Stones!*~
on with the impossible, gentlemen, to your beautiful hearts' content

"What do you want - what?!"
- Keith

Each show I attended having Miss you on setlist! Its not that I hate it. Actually used to like it much more. But Mick keeps beating a dead horse & shoving down our throats. Enough already! What I stubborn man eh? Those tears may turn to happy if the song ever be replaced. Maybe fans would start liking more as well Mick! Has not literally brought tears to my eyes but close. MEZ

Potted Shrimp. When I saw your thread, the first thing that came to my mind was "Back to Zero." I was going to write that in. You were already there. We are on the same wave-length.

Ruby Tuesday, 13 August 1990, East-Berlin. I stood in front of the stage with my former best friend. We had figured out how it would be together at a Stones concert while the band was playing RT. We lived in the former GDR, and that meant no Stones. Then the wall came down and several months later we were there. Together. And the boys play Ruby Tuesday. I'll never forget this moment.

13.09.2005 MSG, NY.

It was the moment when Ronnie came on Stage. He was tumbling and he was totally drunk or high or both.

I looked at my wife and we were thinking both the same without speaking "he'll collapse in the next moments and the show will be cancelled". He wasn't able to play a single note. So after two minutes they turned him down. After that all that could be heard was Keith, Ronnie was just more or less posing, believe me 'cause we were in the second row just two or three meters away from him.

Mick hit him several Times scream at him "wake up".

It was really really sad to watch this.

Roadster32 (or anyone else):

Was MSG the night Jagger intro'd Woody as "Ronnie "Rehab" Wood? Has there been any improvement in his condition?

I thought he seemed fine at Fenway #1 (from 12th row center) and super-sloppy at Charlottesville--as was the rest of the band.

Meanwhile, I was lucky enough to attend a private preview screening of "Rock'n'Roll Circus" just before it was released. The screening room was in the Disney Building on Park Avenue in NYC. It was packed and I was sitting behind Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, of all people. The film director Penny Marshall was there as well...

What all this means is that the place and the people didn't seem to have any connection to the Stones at all. But when Brian started playing the slide part on that version of "No Expectations," there was a gasp and a sort of moan that came out of the crowd. A palpable sense of collective grief.

It was so touching to feel that depth of connection to the band, to one of its most affecting songs and to its lost soul.

Rev. yes it was the night when he was introduced that way by mick.

i don't know but he ´was in a very bad condition that day.

a few days later at albany he was fine.

maybe it's just a question of his daily form.

I cried watching the news that famous June night in 1972 when the Stones were tossed into jail in Warwick , Rhode Island after Keith mixed it up with photographers as they got off their plane on the way to their concert at the old Boston Garden!I had a ticket to the show the second night and it was my FIRST of 33 Stones concerts! I was up all night watching the TV and finaly the relief! They were released because of Mayor Kevin White, they came on at 2am, and I was able to see them the next night! I cried just after I met Mick in Montreal in 1998, it was such an emotional moment, seeing him being escorted out of the restaurant, turning to wave good bye to me! I lost it! Fortunately, he didn't see that! I also cried when I heard about Charlie's cancer and then the big CRY OF RELIEF, seeing him up on stage at Fenway!
