"Dirty Work" as released in 1986 is my favorite album by the band. So, no, the above suggestions won't do it for me.Quote

Ditch "Hold Back," "Winning Ugly," "Back To Zero" and "Too Rude," and replace with "Nobody's Perfect," "Strictly Memphis," "Putty In Your Hands and "I Can't See No One Else," and you have a great album. Three covers, but no turkeys. My two cents...

... I've never understood the slagging off of this album, it ain't Exile but it's a angry little gem.

The best songs sound excellent:
Harlem Shuffle
Had It With You
One Hit (To The Body)
Fight (yes, I like Mick's barking)
Too Rude
Dirty Work
Sleep Tonight
Key To The Highway

Sounds like you need to listen to the "London Version" of "Winning Ugly" I mentioned above, a huge improvement over the album version, if a bit long ;-)
