Three Editions of "Das Weissbuch" ? Anyone have them ?

Has anyone here owned the three editions of Dieter Hoffman's "Weissbuch" ?

The first one (one volume) came out in 1991 and I spent hours browsing through it at the Virgin store on Oxford Street in early 1992. I remember hearing for the fist time about the SW outtakes "Ready Yourself", "Giving It Up" and "For Your Precious Love" there as well of the rerecording of "Gangster's Moll" and that "Sexdrive" had been started as a jam in Japan in 1990 (not sure that's been substantiated since).

Then the second edition must have come out around 2003, two volumes 963 pages !

And the third and current edition around 2016, three volumes 1605 pages !

The first volume can be found used (without the "Tell Me" single though), can't see v2 anywhere and v3 is available from the author. I have a soft spot for v1 obviously but getting the updated v3 would make more sense of course. Does anyone here have it ?

Might be best to wait for v4 with the new FFSO songs ;-)

The "Köchelverzeichnis" of the Stones´output. If I
remember correctly, Dieter managed to give Keith one
book of the first edition backstage in Cologne in
1992 before or after the Whinos´ show.

I have all three editions and it was always worth the money.

Unfortunately the solo output and other collaborations
are equally listed. I´d prefer a Stones only release.
Maybe one day when all those "fully finished outtakes"
are identified, sorted and listed. Way to go. smileys with beer

Thanks, the three of them, way to go ! Good to hear Keith was given a copy, he probably didn't buy a boatload like Tarlé's book on Exile to hand out to his friends though ;-)

Problem with adding the FFSO tracks is that most of it will be guesswork like we did here, since they didn't pop out as part of sessions, like say "Ready Yourself" with the 2006 CM tape.

If I remember well, the first edition listings were pretty succinct, they must have been expanded a lot to build up to 3 volumes, since the output since 91 hasn't been exactly plentiful, group or solo. Do all released and unreleased songs have details like this (found it in this thread [iorr.org])

Yeah ...got 'em all .... very handy
Be really good if Dieter updated them ....

Last set didnt have an index and made it
a little hard to find some tracks esp certain boot titles ...

Thanks, I didn't realize there was a PDF version (like Aeppli's 2002 book that's on a CDR he sold on his site at the time) that would indeed make searches really fast, is it still available for sale ?

I have a question about the 3rd edition.

Is there any mention about old good Japan for US CD Rewind 1971-1984 [RSR-Atlantic 7 90176-2], Matrix: 90176-2 504034 MANUFACTURED BY SANYO JAPAN?

As far as I remember it is completely missed from the 1st edition. Not sure about the 2nd.

PS. Chris Mouse ignored that CD too.

Lucky you

Are there any entries for "unverified songs" in the later editions like those mentioned in Karnbach's book ? I'm guessing not since there wouldn't be much to say about them...but then he did mention "Ready Yourself" or "Giving It Up" in 1990 when they didn't circulate.
