The vocals on Nobody's Perfect are obviously from the 2000s. The guitars sound like 1977-79 to me.

You may have a lot of guitar strings but you don't have a clue about the music, you never did.

Not very nice.

Andbon NP Mick sounds exactly like he did on Primitive Cool so...each to their own I suppose ;-)

NP seems a Primitive Cool outtake

I agree, although it could be from She's The Boss.

Here is the CMR verdict

Always nice to see a detailed review and he's read the threads here and even references a...reference thread (no link though) but there are way too many mistakes ! He should have had it proofread by even a casual fan. I guess it's ok not to know that "Trouble's A Coming" was previously booted as "Break Away" but not that Keith originally sang "Deep Love", that "Fast Talking" is not from the Paris 77 sessions or that "Giving It Up" and "Ivy League" were not officially released (since "CV" seems to mean that, Current Version?) somehow ?!

Review has been updated, thank you for your feedback!

The vocals are very close to War Baby on some parts, the same style, so it looks like end of 86 or 87 to me.

How can anyone complain about this release? This stuff is fabulous. Really shows how the band works. Some really good stuff and some not so good but it's all interesting and it sounds great. It's not hard to see how they came up with Tattoo You back in 1981. I am quite surprised that they never did that again. Stop complaining and enjoy it!

Yeah, sounds like Micks Primitive cool, but it's at least Ronnie on first guitar, second guitar I'm not sure and rather no Charlie on drums. Strange...

Played at compiling the "Dream album" with these, opting out those already released and those I was more familiar with before these outtakes saw the light. Tried to make a sense of a flow out of it. And a variety. It turned out a pretty filled double album. Would definitively buy it grinning smiley

Absolutely amazing to me that they can spend so much time putting these mostly fantastic songs together only to discard them. Thanks so to whomever released them as I am not getting any younger and can't wait for Mick's family to empty the vault if they even would want to

The guitars sound like 77-79? On Nobody´s perfect? Where is the weaving? The bendings and the licks? Sounds more like 2002 to me.

Listen to the phaser guitar in the right channel.

Other guitars may have been added later indeed.

I'm enjoying these tracks tremendously, haven't been so excited for a long time (yeah I know) I think I'm enjoying them more than wild flowers and the rest!! And they were great.
Fast talking slow walking is a completely different take of the 'old" one , just throwing that in ..

Sure ! Maybe you should clarify what you mean by CV at the beginning of your reviews as I see you use it in other ones too, it seems to be "Circulating Version" as in "Released Version" ?

Yeah it's pretty hard to go back to listening to other other boots now, other than the other perfect ones like the Voodoo or 2002. I was checking out "What Gives You the Right" that was such a pleasure to finally get in late 93 on OBR and...well it sounds poor !

I think it's safe to say that by the 3rd part of the DW sessions (in NY during the summer of 85) Charlie had already been sent home to "recover".
Therefore it's either Anton Fig or Jordan or Drayton here.

Right now there is on Ebay the 3cd Black Frisco version for only 29,99 dollars, or 25,12 euro from someone at The Seychellen. Probably a fake, or cd-r?

I am pretty sure that 30$ Black Frisco is a boot of the boot. Looks like a cheap photocopy of the cover to begin with. Could be wrong though, but seller gives absolutely no details.

Yep, get your point.
Vocals to me sound too risky for Jagger post 2000...his little ad-lib moment points to '85
Anyway...will we ever find out definatively?
