A lot of good points here but leaking 50 tracks on purpose ? No way, if they had wanted to leak something to "promote" an upcoming release it would have been a tracklist with 50 songs and a couple of tracks maybe, everyone here would be even more excited by now !

3. Isn't the Japanese bootleg company supposedly releasing the stuff something created just for this project (that is, not heard before)? And, if I have understood right, releasing the actual CDs is now prevented/cancelled? Can the whole thing be just a hoax?
But yeah, just trying to make some sense out of all this... But end up sounding like some damn conspirary theorist haha....

STONES UNTURNED Treasure trove of 50 unreleased Rolling Stones songs mysteriously emerges online

Apparently 500 actual factory-pressed CDs have been pressed costing around £50 each for the 3CD release.

As I have said many times before: The Sun is the best newspaper in the world. Better than the New York Times. Great newspaper. True quality newspaper.

Curtis meets Smokey defintely is from the same sessions of Jamming with Edward. 110% Nicky on piano. Ry Cooder on guitar. Listen to "Higland fling". Jagger noodling on vocals is the same too.

IDK but the fact that there's now no physical bootleg release suggests to me the threat might have worked.

What ? There were apparently 500 3xCD packages sold (102 alone by one reseller on eBay) so I'm not sure what you mean ? It's been said that more copies on the way too, although with the "noise" that's been generated that may change...

A few month ago - I think it was in context with the GHS-Deluxe release ?!? - there was talk about some "big" vault release or kind of such a "online project" coming up (or somehing like that). Does anyone remember? This bootleg-release could be part of this.

Why not, they're likely going to be looking for ideas to get UMG off their track ;-)Quote

Can't remember that, no.
I do remember "Rocky Dijon" mentioning a "Get off My Cloud" idea floated by Dave Stewart I think where all of Mick's unused songs would have been available to stream/download, that was a while back though.

Is Walk with Me Taylor and Richards on guitars or Richards /Jagger.And the piano sounds like Nicky Hopkins
Definitely Nicky, and definitely Taylor ... his part is super-cool. The way Mick is pushing his voice, sounds like 69-71. I think it's Keith doing the lead fills.

The Rolling Stones Complete Works lists Curtis along with songs So Fine , Old Glory as coming from April 1969 sessions.Maube it’s Brian or Ry Cooder on guitar.I’m sure Brian played guitar on some songs during the Let it Bleed sessions just as a last effort by Mick and Keith to see if he could still function in the band
It's absolutely not Jones on guitar, no way he could play this kind of stuff. It's not the style of Keith. It could be Ry Cooder, but I don't know of any song where he plays this kind of style. Dave Mason was around as well, as was Taj Mahal, as was Jesse Ed Davis, as was Clapton.
