Rocks Off
Live with Me (how often is the intro a bass guitar?)

BTW, the greatest guitar intro of all time is by Robert White who played the first few notes of the Temptations classic "My Girl."

The intro to Boston's "Something About You" always had a GS type vibe to me.

The my Girl intro is a very effective use of a pentatonic scale.

White Summer/Black Mountain Side from Mr. Jimmy Page merits consideration.

Dear Prudence. Maybe the actual verse is better but I really like how he (Lennon) resolves in that last c-chord just beford the verse (D).

Beast is one helluva intro but I see think of it as more of a great riff. One of his best. Paint is good but a bit generic no? Let it loose is great but again more of a fantastic riff?

I think the best opening chord isGeorge on a Hard Days Night.Best single note intro,Keith on Angie. Most hypnotic ,Gimme Shelter. And Mick doesabeautiful intro to Moonlight Mile.Fingerprint File is really cool too.Always sounded to me like someone walking upstairs. And the intro to With or Without by U2 is great and beautiful

2 of the best Middle 8:s/Bridges must be the ones in Rock and A Hard Place and Already Over Me.

Most hauting intro is of course the monster-is-just-behind-the-mountain-like
Gimme Shelter.

Another favourite intro of mine which took years for me to find out on guitar is All Down The Line. Just fiddled in open G at a family sunday dinner last year and it was there. I love when those things happen, you stand in front of the amp for years tryin' to find a sequence or a riff and then you don't even think about it and it's there.

A bit like the fire extingiusher in Fawlty Towers but the other way aroundgrinning smiley
