Best live version ever of IORR!!!!

I agree, best live performance ever of that song. Gave me a new respect for the Foo Fighters, who I never cared for much. They nailed it, tricky rhythm and all. Stones just generally blast through it Chuck Berry style, but the Fighters crushed it, gave it superb energy, lifted Mick off his damn feet and Mick sang his heart out. It was so good to see that energy again. Legendary performance.

All 3 songs Mick sang that night sounded really good: The Last Time, 19th Nervous Breakdown/IORR, and the final blues song he wrote about the 2012 elections with Jeff Beck on guitar.

The older Dave Grohl gets, the more he looks like Eric Clapton. I remember this performance being quite good, but at the same time kind of a bummer because it wasn't the Stones playing.

The performance with the Foo Fighters on SNL was really good. As well as the performance after the show. Seems like SNL have taken them of the net.
Here is an audio recording though. Grohl (and FF) is like a vitamin injection here. In fact it's more inspiring to listen to the Foo Fighters and Jagger as
opposed to the Rolling Stones. At least for a change...

Great. Howard loves the Stones and the fact that Mick will probably never agree to be a guest on his show must be one of Howard's great frustration as far as not getting the opportunity to speak with a musician that really matters to him and his audience.

If you want to keep your private life to yourself, like Jagger, Howard Stern is probably the worst talk show host out there.

I believe it is a great version because it's more "glam rock" than Chuck Berry. I don't think the stones have tried to replicate that sound. Plus the Foo Fighters are rocking very very hard here. Impressive version of that great song.

Wasn't there a show in 1976 that they played IORR in a different key but not the original? They've never performed it in E as far as I know.
