Poor boyfriend doesn't get it and there is genuine fear in his demeanor as he realises v necks and oiled side partings may not be where it's at.

There was a recent post about this topic a few weeks back. Of course, for some reason the cameras don't show Bill in the Around and Around opener. Guess he should have stood closer to the rest of the band!

In the beginning Bill stood on the side next near Brain. I do't know when he moved next to Keith.

I think it was in either late 65 or early 66 he moved over to Keith's side, not sure why.

In 1964 it is vanishingly unlikely that the band had any say about who or what got shown on camera. I have seen other clips of that vintage where musically illiterate cameramen show Bill whenever anybody is playing a guitar solo...

Not what's pictured by the camera, agree. But of course they would have a say internally about the aesthetic they wanted to put out there... no Stu, less Bill.. at least out front.

In the brief seconds he appears it looks like Bill was committing the sin of gum chewing on stage again, probably even after they specifically asked him not to. That might explain his lack of screen time.

Wish they could get colorization right. I'm sure the floor at the Santa Monica Civic Center wasn't blue. It does enhance some old black and white footage, to a point.
