Devo? The Go-Go's? Jay-Z? Dionne Warwick? Rock'n'roll, huh? I guess if you broaden what's considered rock'n'roll you can just about squeeze in anybody who's recorded a song or two that became popular.

Tina Turner, Carol King, and Foo Fighters will make it.
Turner, King and Grohl are already in the HOF (King w Gerry Goffin, Tina w Ike, Grohl w Nirvana).

In addition to those, I'm betting Jay Z, NY Dolls, and Dionne Warwick make the cut. Nothing says Rock and Roll like Dionne Warwick

No, I was talking about music business politics. Both are huge players in the biz. Granted, they both have some credibility but in the end its all about the money. I wouldn't be shocked if the New York Dolls made it because in the past the voting has been very NYC centric. If you bought drugs in the horrible bathroom at CBGBs, you had an easier time getting in. THe whole thing has historically been kind of a joke. I wasn't talking about me pushing anyone off the original list.

David Johansen and Tina Turner - that´s good enough for me...

Weirdly, the Go-Gos are the only band that jumped out at me. They were fun, they had rock and roll spirit, they had a nice run.

Really starting to get desperate now (excepting a couple of those)

Ike and Tina Turner were inducted years ago.


Tina Turner solo....fine. But how about getting some other deserving artists in first, before she gets a second honor?


Who is more worthy than this lot? I'll say it again: Delaney & Bonnie and Friends featured some key classic rock players that are long overdue recognition including Bobby Keyes. (and Billy Preston)
