Didn't vote for him but I'll give him a chance.

He was a hard worker when he was in congress. He got things done, right or wrong.

I worry about the 2 brain aneurysms. I worry about his age.

But I like most of what he's saying right now. We'll see if he follows through or gets pulled off track by those with other agendas.

I wish him and the country well.

I guess it will be business as usual now then. Except for the pandemic of course. I'm not a Biden fan though. I'm not a fan of anyone who supported the Iraq war. Which they almost all did...

The first one is a neutral diplomatic statement, the second one is not. Surely, you recognize the difference rbk.
You don't have to worry though, rbk. He will be criticized. Sooner or later. But perhaps not today. Hold your horses.

Okay, rbk. The difference is he's the president now. It is customary to welcome the elected president in a diplomatic way. It is courtesy, nothing else. Even the former president was greeted this way.

It is common decency and respect to congratulate.
This is not a political thread.
If you do not have anything nice to say here, then please move on.
Quoted posts will be deleted.
Disrespectful posts will be deleted.
Posts I do not understand may be deleted.
This is not complicated.
All I want is respect and understanding.
Thanks for your understanding and respect.

This is the beginning of what could be a great era in the USA as well as the world.

From somebody living in the U.K. it is with great pleasure to the majority of us, that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are going to be a great team .

Big coverage here of this great day, and the world could be a better place with the problems of all of us, from all over the world.

The Good Days will be back again eventually for all of us. smileys with beer

Would it be fair to say that I am sure the Repulicans will give the same respect and support as the Democrats did in the last 4 years over policies.

In my adult life, since I was first allowed to vote as an 18 year-old, I’ve lived through 32 years of Republican presidents and and 20 years of Democrats. I and we have survived them all, some good, some bad. But our democracy works, and our constitution is strong and intact. Presidents come and go. The ones who govern best are those who approach their presidency with humility. We now have President Joe Biden.

I wish him the best and congratulate him on his inauguration. I look forward to good things for the USA. Not perfect, but good. I believe he is a good man and will do his best for the entire nation.
