Great insights on working with Jagger in '88...

I saw Satch the first time in Cincinnati at Bogarts in May '88. I had no idea he had been working with Jagger, those pesky pre-internet times!!

Interesting although is it me or is it poorly written to the point of being confusing ? What's meant by "can you play a couple of songs in the middle of my show" ? Is that something Mick is supposed to have told him ? Unlike Billy Preston I'm pretty sure he didn't get a solo spot during Mick's shows right ? Also Mick probably didn't mind helping him but he needed someone in a hurry after Beck walked out on the tour because he was offering him peanuts, or so he claimed!

That Mick is something right ? Who doesn't he win over in a big way ?

Good read.
The Commander at work.
Clearly a very charismatic man. I think he knows exactly how to motivate people.

Amazing htw clip. What a super star.
He just is. Remarkable.
Uptempo sassy opener. He just immediately owns the biggest venues imaginable.

Yeah that's what Keef (painfully?) realized on his 88 solo tour : he's a super-talented musician but he isn't a frontman.

Didn't he do an instrumental in the middle of the set?
