Not looking to buy a Brian Jones autograph at all, was just wondering how much they go for. Thanks, Matt!

And yes, it's obviously very hard to ensure the authenticity.

As far as fakes, I got burned on a KR "autopenned" Life book once. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

There was a discussion about the "autopen" books on here. [iorr.org]

And here:

[live.autographmagazine.com]

[live.autographmagazine.com]

Before buying, I did know that a lot of the autopen ones were in blue ink. So I thought I had done the research. However the seller (an online book store) made the photos look like the ink was black. They also claimed that it was signed at the book signing at Waterstones in London, while all accounts from Waterstones say that black sharpies were used for the in-person signings there.

Oh well. At least I have that Palladium poster on the way. Having left LAX, it took an unexpected detour via Japan!

Love this album and Ronnie never got bored of signing it... look out for the French one as it’s got a gatefold sleeve!

Here's Mick Jagger's from Cardiff's Capital Theatre 1964

....very faint I know....

I know this one is 'right' as the provenance is that my friend's sister went backstage and had Mick sign it for her on the night. The sister then gave it to my friend.
She couldn't remember whether it was from 1964 or 1965. I did a bit of research and in the end concluded it was most likely from 11.9.1964 (11th Sept).

I think I went to a similar book signing in Sacramento, Blockbuster Video or a bookstore that preceded it in the space, at around that same time. I hung out in a long line for a half hour or so, which made it about an hour after announced start time, but got bored and split. I heard he showed up about a half hour later and took on all comers for at least a couple hours.

You have to upload your picture first to an Internet Image-Hoster like [Imgur.com] , [Postimages.org] or [www.Directupload.net] . Then insert the picture-address from there into your IORR-post: [iorr.org] .

Postimages.org seems to be a free service.

An amazing memory from when I went to see Mick Taylor play 20 years ago in London. After the show I was able to speak to him and ask if I could have a set list.. he didn’t have one so he asked me if I had a pen and paper and then he wrote it out for me by hand... what a super lovely and humble man. Magical moment

The Deluxe version of Ronnie and Bill German's book The Works.

Only 200 signed and numbered copies were issued in a slip case with an unsigned print. I asked Ronnie to sign the print for me in 2000.

Unless it is BV selling it to you as "genuine," I'd be verrrrrry careful

autograph faking is way too easy.

Exactly. Both Charlie and Bill used to be pretty good with fanmail, especially Charlie.

It worked...I got back my drumstick, a drumskin and my photo of
my last show (the last bow at Metlife 2019) yesterday. All dedicated smileys with beer

I was lucky enough to meet Mr Watts on 29th January 2020 just before the coronavirus lockdowns. i sent the photo to him the very next day with a covering letter and he returned it within a few days signed. The link to the photo is below

Am I one of a few people to have seen him just before the pandemic started????
