I know many here (rightfully!) revere Bill Wyman's incredible work on 19th Nervous Breakdown, for my money, the top bass work on any Stones song is ......
Jigsaw Puzzle
Slap on some phones, and play this record L-O-U-D! Bill Wyman is on fire!
What is your choice for best bass work in a Stones' song?
Whats so incredible about the bass on 19th Nervous Breakdown. I don't get it. In fact it doesn't get anymore basic.

Imo it's more Keef style on bass than Bill.

Miss You is a true Bill Wyman showcase, with just about everything Bill is known for -the popping octaves, the sliding octaves, the walking bass, that strange timing of just a tad before the drums.
Like his fabulous work on Whip and Imagination from Hampton, it's all a showcase of that typical Bill Wyman style.
Agree Mathijs, with a slight inspiration from Billy Preston if we gonna trust that controversial gear book
Tonight I will enjoy Bill's rumblin bass during the wonderful Undercover Of The Night in Atlantic City, those first 10 seconds is MEGA!!!

I like the bass playing on Satisfaction so simple but very effective and really a very important part of the song.
