Got a real jolt reading the news. The coolest human ever and a hero to little boys worldwide when I was kid waaaay back when he was Bond. Raise a glass to this icon. Godspeed, Mr. Connery.

He was the epitome of James Bond in "Goldfinger". He tried other roles during the 1960s to reach beyond Bond, such as the poet in "A Fine Madness", an offbeat film that is a movie of its time. "Zardoz" was another offbeat role. I also liked him in "The Great Train Robbery". RIP, Sir Connery.

And "The man who would be king", "The hill" or "Robin and Marian". His talent was far beyond the Bond films.

RIP Sir Sean.

RIP Sir Sean. There is now a vacancy for the greatest living Scot. 90 is a very decent innings.

RIP Sir Sean Connery.
Ironically, as a young kid in the 70s I didn't know he was James Bond! Always assumed Roger Moore was the only Bond. I'm actually a big fan of Daniel Craig as the current Bond.

Same here - the first Bond movie I saw was Live and Let Die when I was 10 yrs. old in '73, and didn't see the Connery Bond movies until much later. I also like the Daniel Craig Bond - I remember watching Casino Royale on a flight home from England and loved it. Favorite Craig/Bond would probably be Skyfall, and looking forward to the upcoming No Time to Die - I think it's his final film as Bond...James Bond.

The best James Bond there will ever be.
Whoever takes the roll as James Bond in future movies will never be better than Sean Connery.
A great actor who could play a lorry driver back in his early career in Hell Drivers and many more films back in the 1950-60's............. and the best James Bond ever.

R.I.P. Sean Connery/James Bond.
