Yet some people are claiming it is Taylor in the "painting" on the right above Darryl.

Not even close Irix (imo), but if you think it is great. The round nose and other facial features in the painting are completely off to be Taylor.
I still think it's Rembrandt - maybe not the exact self portrait I posted previously, but if you look at a variety of other Rembrandt portraits you would see.

Remember, "Ronnie told Ashridge House he created the painting by using sepia tones from the set colours used by Rembrant, one of Ronnie’s earliest influences".
Seems he wanted to pay tribute to Rembrandt and included him in the painting.

But again, for the sake of avoiding further debate, if it is supposed to be Taylor, Ronnie should practice quite a bit more before committing it to canvas as it looks nothing like Taylor.

"Nope, looks nothing like me" - Mick Taylor

People are really getting into it now.. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
Um, because the mask is in the original photo?

Original version doesn't have Taylor (thankfully, seeing how he wasn't even a stone yet) Never checked out the follow up version, although aware another was out there.
This one is fantastic though!!

He's behind the mask, wait he's in the doorway,, wait.. he's in the painting .
Ronnie respected him so much he hid him all over winking smiley

Lots going on in this like I said, personally I'm loving it.
Wife may not be too thrilled with another Beggars print, but the "regular" version of this one will likely be here by x-mas winking smiley

Any print of his that can get even the extreme Ronnie haters analyzing and dissecting it at this length has got to be a great Ronnie piece.
An edition of only 195.
Can't wait to get it.

Evidently Mick Taylor is in the 1990 version painted by Ronnie - not the original 1968 photograph obviously.
Lots of confusion, but that's what happens when trying to discuss/analyze a chaotic painting of this nature that makes absolutely no sense.
To make matters worse and even more confusing, he updated it some time in the past - Lisa is in it, but Sasha isn't...strange days in the world of Ronnie.
Anyhow, been fun to talk about another train wreck of a painting here as it helps take the mind off the chaos of the current news of the day here in the US.

$1,000 for a digital print seems an awfully steep price, and it's quite a small print at that being only 39.5 x 58 cm (or apprx. 15 x 22 inches).
The somewhat larger one is even more overpriced at $2600, but at least it might be easier to try and find the elusive Mick Taylor whose supposedly hidden somewhere within.

And Matt Clifford is also missing – he's touring with the Stones 1989–90 & 2012–present ....

I have several smaller Ronnie prints similar in size to this and prefer smaller art pieces generally.
Have a couple really large pieces as well.. love em, but running out of walls.

The original Beggars is very nicely sized (24 x 36ish), and although I'd never part with it, was offered 10k for it from a gallery a number of years ago when I took it for insurance appraisal. Ronnie's work has been good for people who invest in art, although that's definitely not me.

There is someone in the doorway behind what passes for Ronnie? Is it in the form of a ghost materializing or dematerializing? I ask because it just looks like a cloud to me. And the portrait still bears much more a resemblance to Taylor than that apparation.

Yeah Rockman but that is the second version where he is supposedly disappeared (when I am not sure he even appeared) from the doorway. And it does look like that area has been modified from the original. And now Taylor's head is unmistakenly visible in the new portrait on the wall. See the blowup above to confirm...sure looks like Mick Taylor to me. Despite what Ronnie may have implied (he never "said" anything either way that I have read so far.)

I see George in the flower on the table.

But seriously, I still do not see any discernable figure in the doorway in that latest blowup either. Do you, does anyone? Because maybe I am just not looking properly or something, easily gullible and all.

I totally understand the concept of him painting the portrait of Rembrandt as a homage to him as his inspiration and stuff, its just that it looks like Rembrandt with Taylor's head on him. Totally. And you got to remember when saying it doesn't look exactly like him, most if not all of this mess looks like a bad LSD hallucination, starting with the artist himself.

And Charlie looks pathetic. It was mentioned above the kinda weird thing about his right arm, but his left arm looks like it has been dead for some time. Really poor rendition of the human form, but thats how the whole thing looks to me.

Doesn't Ronnie have a fazebook page or something someone can ask him? Or would that be too undignified?

I would hope royalties from the sales would flow to both Taylor and Bill Wyman, their images (if there) are worth something.

Regarding any possible value in this and other paintings from Ronnie - this reasoning from Matilda Battersby of the Independent (writing about Ronnie's art in 2016) makes sense:

"Trouble is, the exhibition, called Private Collection, is being billed as a chance for fans to “get their hands on a piece of rock ‘n’ roll history”.
Which is all very well, but compounds the fact that Ronnie’s paintings are attractive chunks of Rolling Stones memorabilia rather than a chance to invest
in the brightest and most exciting contemporary artist on the block. They will sell for thousands regardless of whether they are any good: and therein lies the nub".

In other words, Ronnie could scribble out written setlists in crayons or magic markers, and even though it's basically childrens doodle art,
they will sell because of who he is as a member of the Rolling Stones - not because there's any artistic skills involved.
