This haircut and Micks choreography on the tour ruined the Stones concert experience for me. Mick thought he would look stupid if he was chewing gum and having the coke wiggle in his legs, which is how was just one year earlier on he solo tour. If we had gotten that Mick in 89/90 I believe the shows would have 1000 times better. This whole tour was a product and response to the 80's MTV pressure to prove they were relevant at that age. They also abandoned the live show versions of many songs and played them closer to the studio version which also took away from that past stones concert experience.

i think longest hair: 1968 -> 1969 -> 1986 -> 1976 -> 1975 -> 1981

I'm a bit ambivalent to this, as it really served some of the songs – even some of their very best songs, imo.
Some of the «road versions» went too far away from the studio versions. And, let's face it, the Stones didn't really manage to make the songs sound like the studio versions. They never did
