If they ever do a "final tour", they should bring back all of the props:

- inflatable penis
- Billy Preston dance (Sorry, Chuck...it's all on you now)
- firehose for the crowd
- cherry picker
- inflatable girls
- platform on top of stage
- the stilt walkers and jugglers who were scrapped for the SW tour
- b stage
- bridge
- cage
- Mick Taylor

Did I miss any?

Wasn't crazy about Grrregory, but was kinda cool at their 50th show in NY when the marching gorillas came out onto the floor during the intro build-up. cool smiley

Also- they could trot out their wives/girlfriends (now+ children, and (gulp), grandchildren, for Honkey Tonk Women again winking smiley

You missed the year : 1994. winking smiley
These props never got past the opening show(s) in Washington iirc.

Ah - memory fading. Yes, that makes more sense.

Was it in ROLLING STONE that Mick talked about the cage and mentioned a lamp in the first few shows of the BRIDGES tour? Can't find anything.

I was at the second night of B2B in Chicago and don't remember a lamp. I remember that the bridge wasn't working yet. I also remember they had a cool video playing on the screen during YGMR that was dropped because YGMR was moved to the B stage. I'd like to find the vid, it was cool as I remember.

Only lamp I remember was a little one on a table with oddly some tissues and lotion during one of the tours.

They should go down to a 1972-sized stage. It was considered pretty big back then but small now. The "No Gimmick" tour.

But I still have mixed feelings about them ever touring again. Keith is probably rusting away as we speak.

They should use the old set from the Merv Griffin show. They could have between song interviews and panel discussions. Maybe some Q&A with the audience.

Yeah, nothing keeps the energy up in a stadium like a good old Q&A. (See: Roger Waters' Radio KAOS 1987 tour).

Mick Jagger (2003): The Voodoo Lounge stage
On the Voodoo Lounge tour we had this huge lamp-post structure stuck in the middle of the stage. It was very good-looking, but by the time we got 25 minutes into the show, and then an hour, the lamp-post was still standing there doing nothing.

I've found some videos from the RFK show but I don't see a lamp anywhere.

"Huge Lamp Post Structure" Could he be talking about the huge cobra light structure?

I'm glad that they've thrown away all those gimmicks. But they should bring back Mick Taylor

They should have kept the cage to keep Ronnie in whenever he misbehaved back in his drunken/drug fueled days-
might have helped him focus on the task at hand vs. posing like a goofy clown.
