He's The Killer's cousin, as is Mickey Gilley.
Jimmy Lee Swaggart is a great piano player, a la Jerry and Mickey, but preferred to become a preacher. Jimmy's first recordings, of a gospel bent, were with Sun Records, but he never became a success on Sun. It was only with the advent of tele-evangelism that Jimmy hit the big time. At the same time, The Killer, Jerry Lee, was recording stone cold honky tonk country.

edit: Peaking in and out between innings of the baseball game, and not really what I was hoping for, though I guess I should have known.
Some nice performances, but these virtual/socially distanced shows via zoom, along with pre-recorded clips, etc.,are a bit strange and disconnected imo...
Anyhow, Happy 85th Birthday to Jerry Lee, and maybe Keith will light up the occasion in a big way.

The guy is good. I don't know if he plays Rockandroll exclusively or just for fun but he seems very sincere and technically the next killer generation. Maybe there is hope that Rockandroll will stay alive.

If you ever get to Jerry Lee's bar in Memphis they have some great piano players in there as well, Jason James who also plays some great guitar, and another guys name who escapes me (and Jerry Lee's bass player is usually in the band). That is if it's open or opens back up...
Ok. Jacob Roliver must have played the role in a different market/city. I would like to see that play "million $ quarter".

The young man who played Jerry on Broadway show ,I forgot his name, is really really good. He was my favorite during the party. It went very well, I enjoy the event. Keith was fun and Ron's voice message was fun to ear

Keith was absolutely great
but the whole show is just wonderful.

And of course when I hear whola lotta love by led zep I have NEVER understood what the singer says when supposedly he sings wanna whole lotta love. NEVER. For me it sound as if he were singing in chinese.
