Can't vouch for the accuracy, but it appears to be.
Interesting to watch their top ten songs played live change over time.

Love how by the end all of those top played songs are basically the setlist for the shows the past several years. Greatest Hits only.

The four first were the ones I anticipated as the "FIRST FOUR".

Interesting to see that the most popular "Silver Warhorses"(almost warhorses, but not quite there) are ADTL, Bitch and LSTNT. I would've guessed something similar with maybe Live With Me as a contender as it was played in 69-70 before Bitch and ADTL was released and LSTNT was introduced in 1981 and then got the deluxe treatment again durin B2B. Great to see that BTMMR is in the top 20 and that I got to attend a show where they neither played Flash or Satisfaction.

Interesting that SMU got more than 100 showings more than Sympathy, those 81-82 shows put it down considerably and also interesting that it wasn't until june 1990 that the diabolic warhorse passed Bitch in the list!!eye popping smiley

If I'd been Mick or Keith I would probably have chosen about the same songs. With especially the first four ya can't go wrong!smileys with beer

The night time is the right time - played only once? Didn´t they play that one almost every night 2005? (Setlist - Rolling Stones songs played totals 1963-2019, here above).

Yes, it was played very often in 2005-2006: [iorr.org] - (Review). Personally I find Setlist.fm rather unreliable.

It changed over time in the 60s and 70s.But from 1989 onwards, it's all the same.

setlist.fm has it (apart from this one entry) as "The Right Time (Nappy Brown cover)". Played 58 times

setlist.fm has it as "The Right Time (Nappy Brown cover)".

But the Track is also (mostly) known as 'Night Time Is the Right Time', originally recorded in 1937 by Blues-pianist Roosevelt Sykes and the most successful version was in 1958 by Ray Charles - [en.Wikipedia.org] .

Fascinating that 10 years after the release of Satisfaction, Star Star was played more often in concert.

You have to be very careful with the statistics of the 60s. Only very few setlists are available and the 60s was the century where they played the most gigs.

yeah, to me too (I agree that the site seems a bit unreliable)
just wanted to point out, that it's actually listed

I got to hear the one and only The Sun Is Shining. It is not listed somehow in that list that I saw but if you search for it, it comes up, played once, Altamont Speedway. Amazing they would play an obscure song like that only once, and its never been officially recorded in the studio by them, like it was the one and only time they ever played it, ever.

Also played in '62 apparently.

Sad that songs like 19th Nervous Breakdown, Mother's Little Helper and Heart of Stone are so ignored live. Even casual fans would know these songs. Yet You Got Me Rocking is played more than twice as many times as a song like Beast of Burden.

you got me rocking according to setlist.fm is played live more than almost any other song when you factor age into the equation and only count actual plays divided by total possible times played. it has a very high percentage which to me is a waste.

Sometimes aka Night & Day.

You do have to remember that prior to a certain date, live performing acts did not have to submit playlists to ASCAP and BMI and etc like they do now (well, I think one of those organizations is now defunct). They are used in calculating royalty payments for public performances, and are probably the source of the data used in those sort of tallies. So that means that early sixties mainstays might not we actually weighted appropriately versus performances after that date, hence making things like You Got Me Rocking appear higher in the list than they might otherwise.

I'd love to see a randomly-generated 20 song setlist.
