Some of the people on this thread sound so narrowly-focused until one questions their credibility to comment on anything but Stones' music. To them, I'd suggest that, on occasion, other artists besides the Rolling Stones make good music, and sometimes, other artists do amazing but (God forbid!) different things with Stones' songs. Let me let y'all in on a little secret - it's a lot of fun to branch out beyond the Stones.

Oh, good Lord. So it is!
I guess it what she adds overall. She has a sexiness about her. Also, she was belting it out for, what? 26 years? I think Sasha Allen is fine, but she lacks Fischer’s presence.
Yet Sasha Allen sings it more restrained and closer to Clayton's original studio version w/the Stones - hence it's superior imo .
It was fun to see and hear Lisa sing it a couple of times when she first started doing it, but then it turned in to a freak show and a circus act - sort of like Mariah Carey hitting those high notes - there was a WOW factor.
I guess it was still good and exciting for those who never saw/heard it and were experiencing it for the first time, and some of the diehard Lisa fans still liked it, but for me it became obnoxious and ruined the tune.
Imagine Eddie Van Halen (for example) or some other hotshot playing the guitar solo on Heartbreaker vs. Mick Taylor - while Eddie might have been a display of virtuoso shredding, it really has no place in a Stones song.

I love Lisa. But I didn’t get the string cheese stuff, the weird costumes, acrobats and fire eaters. I recommend listening to this with your eyes closed because the visuals are circus silliness, but Lisa’s vocals are good, especially at the 6:50 point. She can hit high notes that her successor cannot.

Lisa is amazing.
I have no problem w/ the bells & whistles aspect of it....I prefer just the "Grand Baton" thing she had going, which was pretty bare-bones...but, whatever...
she can flat-out sing and look at it this way...she's providing jobs.

String Cheese Incident is a jam band based in Colorado.
They have been at it for close to 30 years!
This was from their annual Halloween shows, hence the costumes and circus performers.
I posted this because its Lisa doing GS.

Oh, man, what a hoot. GS done as a jam band groove and a riff on Cirque du Soleil playing with fire in the process. Maybe Mick can pick up some ideas from this for the next Stones tour.

An acquaintance of mine promoted String Cheese as part of a festival once, and said they are total demanding primadonnas. He carried 2 radios for the festival - one for SCI, and one for everything else. Sheesh.

No, I am not, and I fail to see what that has to do with it.
My comment was mostly directed at that deadhead "jamband" mess known as SCI. Let me repeat it: Oh, please. Sucks worse the second time I watched it (partially), got better things to do with the remaining moments of my life than waste it on a bunch of wiggers.

I enjoyed the music, but not the visuals. I found the circus stuff distracting from Lisa’s lovely singing. The circus stuff just isn’t my cup of tea.
