Memories ... in the corner of my mind.
I was on my bycicle riding around the (then) Holiday Inn in Utrecht the day before the concert ... should I go upstairs? Naaa ... why bother the guys. Let them enjoy their privacy on the top floor. Did I see some groupies? Maybe.

I hitchhiked to Amsterdam the next day, played cards with three "hippies" in front of the RAI. They thought it was fun to invite a guy in a three piece suit (which I put on deliberately to see if any discrimination would be there ... NO!)

I ended up about 6 meters from the stage (protected area) just somewhere between Steven Stills and Mick Jagger. Great concert, but some (many?) had dangerous times about 20 meters from the stage. They were pushed from left to right and vice verse due to too many people stuffed in that glass hall!
The rumour goes that about 25% more tickets were sold than officially allowed.

It really is! At the age of 22 life was just an ongoing discovery. Altamont was less than a year before. It was a bit of a shock back then. I thought at the time that Hunter wanted to kill Jagger . The Beatles had split. Was the end of the Stones nearby too? No, they had hired this brilliant guitar player. Let It Bleed was a great album ... so no worries, really.
I was planning to go to England to study a bit more and so I did in December 1970 not knowing the Rolling Stones were already hard working on their new future, as 1971 was going to prove. The year 2020? It was never in my mind for even a fraction of a second. And now, looking back 50 years, much easier than to look ahead really. I can only hope for an exciting year 2022 ... 60 years of Rolling Stones! Almost beyond imagination

As good as the whole band is, Jagger is absolutely electric and in top form.
The person filming can't take the camera off of him, understandably, and not unusual. Seemed to begrudgingly put it on Keith when forced and think I only saw a couple glimpses of Charlie

I only discovered them yesterday, have already watched all a few times. Honestly it's like discovering a new ProShot.

Two images from the "Shake Your Hips" Berlin/Paris boot artwork are from Street Fighting Man Ansterdam 1970 - seeing those two super cool images come to life on video was quite the gift. Thank you for the work on this lenchik, bloody great stuff!
