Am I delusional to think, if some DVDs are OK that maybe some CDs are OK? I suppose I am delusional. But I was really looking forward to buying this new CD edition, just as another small ray of happiness in dark times. But maybe I'm setting myself up for frustration.

If you don't already have it, you could buy the Deluxe Talk is Cheap at a nice discount as there's currently another price drop now back down to just $72->Cheap Keith.
Bought it back in June at just $41, but even at $72 seems a bargain as the list price is $174.00. Maybe it will drop even further, and if it gets back down to near $41 I'm going to grab another.

As for this Hollywood Palladium Deluxe, originally the strategy was to hold out for a massive sale, but with all the screw ups (warped vinyl, dvd doesn't play, etc.) not sure it's worth the gamble at even a 75% discount.

Wow....that IS a price drop! Thanks for the head's up. I just have the 2CD Talk is Cheap....but man, that $72 is tempting.

I also got it in June for $41 (a bit more with shipping it to Canada)...and funnily enough, I was also thinking that if it dropped back down to that price...well you know, the museum copy.

You don't know that for sure Those who got the signed deluxe edition get two posters - one signed and one unsigned!

Still haven't recieved that damned signed poster! Anyone else having problems with UPS delivery outside of US?

Oh, the UPS part (the actual boxset) was fine (I live in Finland). That one, I received in a matter of days.

However, USPS (the poster) is still en route. =( It's been almost a month since the KR webstore notified me about the shipment.

Curiously, tracking shows it has "departed" Tokyo Haneda four times now and also arrived in Finland twice...which obviously is impossible.

I didn't know what else to do so i DMed USPS via their Twitter yesterday. They haven't gotten back to me yet.

Got it all of a sudden. Without tracking. Your back n forth to Japan is worrisome. But I hope you 'll get it eventually.

Yes, in fact I bought that version when it was released back in Jan 2019 the same time the giant Talk is Cheap deluxe box's came out.
Instead of overpaying for the deluxe box, I bought the red vinyl and the double cd for reasonably cheap to hold me over while waiting for a clearance sale of the box sets.
Eventually the deluxe box indeed had a massive clearance sale price drop, so ended up buying that also.

edit: Looking at my old invoice in Amazon account, I paid $22 for the red vinyl (which is now going for $36), and only $12.99 for the double cd in Jan 2019.

Ridiculing Stones Inc red vinyl by implying Keith is too cool for it, until it's pointed out that Keith indeed is not too cool for it, is funny enough.
But then trying to recover by going after the shade of red utilized, is perhaps the funniest turn of events I've witnessed here in a while.

Never implied that Keith was too cool for it.

Without a tracking update, I now received a notice from my post office I have to go pick up a shipment in person. They now have a completely different tracking number for it, too, and when I punch that one into the system, it gives no results!

Now, I'm not expecting any other shipment, so could this finally be it? I'll find out this afternoon...

(I might have to drop by the liquor store on the way back...)

On UPS it says "package departed international carrier facility" and its been like that since the 9th of November. I contacted UPS and they say my tracking number belongs to USPS; I concatct USPS and they say the tracking number belongs to UPS. Case closed according to both of them. What a mess.

I believe that for Super Deluxe signed box sets there were two separate tracking numbers: boxset itself has been sent with UPS and signed poster via USPS. So you should have two different tracking numbers if this is the version you have ordered.

The Worst,

When you track the UPS number on the UPS website they should also show a separate tracking number (one that actually is the USPS number)

Do you see one?

If you're on the UPS website, look at the right-hand side of the page. It should show an Alternate Tracking Number under the "Shipment Details" tab. Now, copy and paste that tracking number to the USPS system and see what it says.

Also, which country are you at? The USPS tracking may not be up-to-date once it arrives in your country. The local postal service may actually create their own number, as seems to be the case with my shipment...

For the record, the UPS number on my poster shipment stopped updating after November 18, and indeed, at: "Package departed international carrier facility" - the same as yours, The Worst.

But, lo and behold, on December 3rd it has updated as: "Package arrived at international carrier" which I interpret to be the day it was scanned in Finland.

In the meantime, the "alternate" (USPS) tracking number did produce those sporadic, albeit weird, updates.

The USPS tracking number should end with the letters "US".

I laughed at the customs declaration. According to that, the poster is worth 10 bucks. Maybe mattleeuk has something to say about that.
