After seeing my kid tape up playing drums, I'm gonna say it's harder on the fingers than guitar unless you're Pete Townshend or SRV.
Charlie must be exhausted after 4 minutes of beating the skins so hard...

Both guitar and drums are easy to pick up, but difficult to master.

With guitar, you get sore fingers.
But I think this video pretty much sums up why, to me, the drums are much more difficult to play. At 4:21 it's pretty explainable.
