The thread title was a bit confusing ... and my first response was "I can't get no Satisfaction" ??? (Only surpassed by Paint it Black in scoring lists thanks to Tour of Duty).
But you're talking about left overs. There for sure is still quite some potentially nice stuff they could polish and make worthwhile releasing. But Satisfaction ... from a different galaxy grinning smiley

You read "ever", instead of "never" at first? smiling smiley

No no, I did read never, but although I'm fine with English, the language has a lot of subtleties and read it like Paulhanrahan meant that his personal taste/choice of what the best Rolling Stones song is, has never officially been released.
So I added what I think is the best ever (yep, ever) Rolling Stones song cool smiley, which off course was officially released.
But reading other comments I realised quickly that he meant "best Stones song" of "old left-overs" (where I treat left-overs off course with utmost respect winking smiley)

Linguistics ... complicated smileys with beer

For me "You Got It Made" from Voodoo Lounge Sessions.

On Voodoo "Stew", "Residue", and "Brew".

Tidy it up and get it on the next album I say!

I agree "You got it made" is great.

You Got It Made is pretty damn good, a between the ditches Keith roller. They worked on it. Maybe they felt it was too ordinary to be released. It certainly would've changed the feel of the album than say Thru And Thru but that song is off the charts different.

Regardless of not liking some of the songs on VOODOO it is one of their most eclectic LPs.

CS Blues is good as a shocker, but musically and lyrically I don't think its too great. Its real beauty lies in the circumstances of its recording and subsequent submission as their last single for the Decca contract. Like yeah, heres another #1 for you, gotta go catch lunch, back to you later, let us know when the royalty checks are ready!

Andrew's Blues, now there is a funny song. I heard the band and now I know they are a bunch of shit, or something, has been a long time since I reviewed that one.

“Dancing Girls” has always been an absolute favourite outtake of mine.

Is COPS AND ROBBERS released?

It isn't and it would have been a perfect song for one of those magnificent 1964 albums (instead of Grown Up Wrong for instance).
