Well, that prototype is a different story .

That label design is legendary not only for ABBA.

I wonder why they did not re-use it for Carnaby Exclusive. That was a kind of obvious marketing trick .

Red vinyl is OK, that one is for hipsters who dig into the format . But CDs are not dead yet and still have more potential on the market than vinyl. Although, probably, I would not buy 2009 remaster even as a red-faced CD.

Physical site in Carnaby St is looking very tired. Went there last week, spent about 30' and we were the only ones in the store. Staff knew nothing about the Stones, told me the red vinyls had been discontinued !! Online brand obviously the way it's going.The site cannot possibly be paying it's way.

Based on the number they are selling, the rent seems pretty affordable then.

It is unlikely they will continue the Pantone Red vinyl series and if they do it will only be available online. The next release in the series was supposed to be Exile On Main St in December 2021, until the unbelievable events across the road at the Queen The Greatest Pop-up Store, in Carnaby Street (also managed by Bravado) on 29 October 2021.

For those of you who did not hear about that incident, this is what happened.

Young gangsters (literally) were in the area for a limited edition Nike training shoe launch, picked up on a Queen limited edition (Brian May) 7" single being on sale at the Queen Store that day. A whole load of them tried and succeeded in jumping the (very long) queue at the front.
Some of them got into the store, then the Store Manager refused the others entry. The whole thing kicked off BIG TIME because they tried to force their way in The lead gangster threatened to knife the Store Manager if he did not let them in.

The police arrived to defuse the situation, but the hoodlums did not leave until the police got a “Dispersal Order.” As a result, the Queen store had to close for the day and the single was pulled from sale. The landlord, who heard about the incident, told Bravado that they could not sell limited edition records from premises managed by them in the future.

If I had not been there, I would have struggled to believe what went down.

To extrapolate that for the future, it would seem as though Exile will get a release then some time later this year and probably all online.

Fitting for the 50th anniversary.

Interesting the hoodlums were attracted to the Queen store, and not the Stones store.

Maybe they didn't like Mick's portrayal in Performance?

7pm CET. Time difference between UK and Central Europe is always +1 hour, it doesn't matter if it's BST/CEST or GMT/CET - [www.TimeAndDate.com] .

If the red Vinyl is already sold out in the UK-Shop, it's often still available in the US-Store due to less demand because of the time difference. 6pm UK is 1pm in NYC and 10am in LA and most people are at work and have no time for online-shopping.

Oh, boy, you are so out of time!!!
Those red RS No. 9 Carnaby Str. vinyl sound better not because of the color but because they have extra outer plastic sleeve. That sleeve adds more warmth and makes the sound more vacuum tube-like.
