How can you have a Copacabana Beach vinyl set without the glorious paint splatter?!

Yeah but my "point" was that unlike SF and B&L it never became available again after the first run (not sure about GHS maybe).

Well I believe that all of the releases, except HONK, were limited to 1000 copies, 500 online and 500 in store.
I don't know about the other releases your referring to, but I know that B & L had manufacturing problems that meant orders weren't filled in. I believe that's why they were rereleased, to fulfill that 1000 quota.
I wonder if some of the other ones were subsequently released online again, could they have been from store inventory that didn't sell?

Reminds me of a story from Levon Helm's book about The Band, during the Cuban Missile crisis in early 60s they (Ronnie Hawkin's Hawks) were doing a show somewhere and Ronnie stepped to the mike and with great seriousness announced that the USA had just captured a Soviet ship off Cuba to inspect it for weapons. Everyone expected to hear that WW3 had started, but he went on to say that what they found upon inspection was that it was piled high with jars of Vaseline, so they sent it on its way...to the Virgin Islands.
