Snap! I've only missed out on one of the Carnaby releases online so far. Picked up a copy on ebay the same day.

I caved in and bought the splatter vinyl. Read a few reports that the vinyl doesn’t sound great. If that’s the case I’ll send it back.

I just miss only the Goats……i don’t want give money to the ebay scalpers

On the pictures from the shop it seems that there is no 'Carnaby No9' plastic cover around the vinyl. That's a little strange, ain't it?

Maybe you are right… perhaps the thickness of the plastic cover is too small for a triple vinyl

The delivery costs are much higher compared to the earlier releases. So I hope a more professional courier will do the job this time. And the non-deliveries are history.

Even if you ordered and paid something in a country outside EU before july 1st, the VAT is due at the time of the delivery.

I'm not tempted by coloured vinyl issues of albums I already have. OK I don't have Copacabana but I can't imagine I'd ever play the vinyl.

Isn't all this Carnaby Street stuff just a cynical attempt to milk the brand?

Yes...and this is the only time in their almost 60 year career that they've tried to milk the brand, so go easy on them.

From an economical point of view: What are the chances getting your money back in the long run? I mean you'll have to let your collection go sooner or later
and it's always easier to buy than to sell. Or maybe this is a stupid question?

It depends on your point of view. If you see it as an 'investment' to at some point sell and take a profit on, like a share in a company, then you buy a variety of these items and a few of them appreciate considerably and are easier to sell, and that justifies your collecting from a financial perspective. Not everything will rise in price, just as with your stocks.

On the other hand, if this is your 'hobby', that really factors less into the analysis.
