The Rolling Stones will premiere a world exclusive flagship store, ‘RS No 9’ at 9 Carnaby Street in London’s Soho, on 9 September, 2020.

Perhaps they'll get Yoko to do the opening?

"The store will also introduce ‘Stones Red,’ the official colour from Pantone which is established from the first use of the band’s iconic logo. A collection celebrating the Rolling Stones official Pantone colour will also launch with the store."

Carnaby Street is full of tat nowadays, no? I suppose the Stones’ 60’s connection and that the street was once a fashionable place to be seen, is the reason they’ve decided to open there. Wasn’t Liam Gallagher’s clothing boutique located there, too?

Seems odd to be opening a store at this point in time. Maybe things are better in England than in Florida, USA.

Will be interesting to see the longevity of this tbh.. definitely not a "pop-up"

Also sounds like it may be a bit tied in with the Exhibitionism concept, my hunch is that this was long part of the plan for post-exhibitionism..

It's becoming a bit like Disneyland with it's Disney stores- a safe and friendly family version of the Stones that sells overpriced trinkets, stuffed dolls, clothing, etc. to tourists, cashing in on relics from their past.

That's what I thought too, since a day-visit in this Store could take 29 days - 14 days quarantine when entering the UK plus another 14 days quarantine when you're back in your homeland ....

They say that this is a first, but I distinctly remember them having a pop-up shop in Carnaby Street maybe around the time of the 2012 London shows? Because I went to it and have pics, mostly of the leather jacket I couldn't afford.

It appears to me that this could be the next stage of preparing for the 60th anniversary. It proves someone somewhere thinks Stones related merchandise will be popular for the foreseeable future, and that's really only going to happen if they come back hard with an album and all sorts of events for next year and 2022. I would not be surprised if there were another single or two.

In the 80's or 90's I would, probably, have appreciated such a store. And probably visited it when in London. By now? I don't think so.
I think they already have flooded the market. I'm full. I wouldn't consider even a wafer-thin mint...

Does look like a nice classy joint though. I wonder when they will have guest appearances, probably Ronnie since he is in the neighborhood sorta. I doubt Charlie would bother.

If I were in the area, I would check it out just because.
