Great story and shots, some unique !
I don't recall to have seen any pictures of ladies on stage during HTW for the whole tour 1975 thumbs up

I'm 99% sure that was Sympathy. I remember they had a procession of dancers and percussion players. You can see Charlie grinning at one of the percussion guys going by in the picture.

Thanks for the information, one can be wrong when it's about ladies winking smiley

Yes. These were the same drummers who were the "opening act" and wandered the floor on the Forum prior to the show. (There were no opening acts/bands at the Forum shows)

On the first (July 9th) show, when they came on stage during Sympathy they were joined by Keith Moon. After the show ended, just as I was leaving he ran right past me.

It should have been something, a shot of Charlie's face when he noticed that Moon was there grinning smiley

He played on several shows in LA that tour, including the officially released LA Friday.

The band must have sounded really strange without their Bass player. How did they manage?

Yeah, they sounded pretty weird without their bass player, so I added a couple of shots with him.

Hi vibrolux,
You made many, who were on any of those shows very happy for sure. (In those days we/most non Americans didn't travel to other continents to see the Stones .. but I still enjoy the uniqueness of several the photos).
How about adding your top 5 of Bill Wyman shots to make it a complete memory for the US fans? cool smiley

Well... I just didn't get that many shots of him, but I did add 2 to the gallery.

IS there any easy way to download these great pics?

I'll be totally honest with you. There have been a few times when I shared concert pix and later discovered that someone else was selling them on eBay. It's my pleasure to share them freely, and I'm happy if others want to share them with friends who may not visit IORR.

But if you want copies of them, I guess my best suggestion is just to do a screen grab and you'll have them, although not in hi res. Thanks to you (and the others who have asked) for understanding.

Vibrolux, superb photos, thanks so much for sharing. The warmth and depth of the colours is so different to today’s digital images. Were you wearing particularly wide flares inside which you could hide your camera equipment?!

No TSA style metal detectors back then. So it was just a matter of wearing a bulky jacket and looking as innocent and innocuous as I could. What really amazed me is that they didn't confiscate my film.

Great pics!
Luv that 70's film look.
Thanks for posting!

BTW - how & what did you use to digitize all your photos?
I have an old scanner that just takes to long, dont want to spend a whole day digitizing.
thx

I bought a little device by Kodak. It's called the Mini Digital Film Scanner. There are lots of products like this on the market. The one I got is not considered a high end device, but when I tested it out, it was good enough for what I wanted.

I guess someone's got to be a wise guy. Could have been me if it wasn't my post.

I've got about 10 of Wyman, but as you may recall, he was pretty much a statue onstage, so the pix with him didn't make the top 20. Although his outfits were pretty funny back then.

Looking sharp, Bill! (btw, isn't it easier to take pics of inanimate objects than moving ones? Just sayin'...)

My guess is that Bill will make a copy of this......

Wow! You're compliments have made my day! So, since so many of you asked, I added 10 more to the gallery.

You want Wyman. You got him.
You want to see the inflatable finger. You got it.

And a couple real good ones that somehow didn't make the first cut. (Jagger with harmonica, and the b/w one of Wood/Jagger/Richards)

I'm going to try an answer all the questions you've asked. I think I know most of the answers. Stay tuned and thanks again for all your nice comments. Being stuck at home in the era of Covid, it's great to feel semi-connected to people.

Here's the gallery again: [stonesjuly1975laforum.shutterfly.com]

The new ones are after the first 24, and before the "then and now" pix.

If you're seeing this before my other post, be sure to click on Slideshow to see larger images and click on "Options" in the upper right if you want to slow the pace down.

I'm pretty sure about the 9th and 13th. I thought the other one was the 11th, but you might be right.

Spectacular photos... really visceral. I saw the Stones several nights in New York that tour (also slept in front of Madison Square Garden the night before in order to get tickets... alas no front row) and I still think, to this day, that they looked like the coolest band in the history of Rock and Roll on that tour.

Jet-set outlaws, dripping decadence and danger and pure sex...

Diamond rings, Vaseline, you gave me disease, well, I lost a lot of love over you.

These REALLY are priceless photos! As I understand it, the snaps with Mick in the red & white print pattern PJs are from the 9th. The ones in green are from the 10th, the ones in black are from the 13th. (which may have been the best performance of the entire tour, lucky you!)

If I understand correctly, Bobby was dropped out after the champagne bath incident and bad influence on Keith. However, he was invited as a guest like in LA '75 and Hampton '81. He toured again as regular member starting in 1989.

I wonder what happened to Jim Price, the trumpet twin ?

His wikipedia page is slimer than slim.
