Wow, good calls, Stoneburst and JustinCaseBandDK smileys with beer

So Keith must have had multiple HNGDs (Happy New Guitar Days) smoking smiley

Roskilde, Doom & Gloom

Blonde Tele Custom Body with double sided black binding.
Maple Neck with Strat style headstock
Humbucker in Neck position, no frame.
Modern Style Steel Bridge
Black 8-Hole Pickguard

Rebel Relic and Nash Guitars both had Keith Richards Tele model for sale.
they also have very tasty other offerings.

Look at this clip with the "mystery" tele:

[youtu.be]

Ah, finally a decent D&G clip from Werchter. thx

some obvious specs:
Black Tele body, rough wear on upper bout
Maple Neck
White 5-hole Pickguard
Humbucker with silvery Cover at the neck. HB frame.
Adjustable Polepieces-screws facing downwards
Silver Steel modern six (maybe 5) saddle bridge.

Perhaps a Nash Guitars t57BLK with some modifications for Bridge, Humbucker frame and probably Tuners (Sperzel, I'd assume)

If it is a new guitar (the black Tele), how come it has lost much paint? Maybe a gift from someone else?

If it is a Nash Guitar, that's what Bill Nash does - relic them.
from the Nash page Q&A:
"Can I get a guitar that is not aged?
Sorry, we only build aged instruments."

Keith has stated before that he doesn't like brand new, shiny guitars so the relic thing would be right up his alley.

It doesn't look like a Fender to me.

Where/When is that shot from, z? And who took it?
If you can add those details that will be great for researchers someday. Thanks!

If someone is in Den Helder a visit at Rijkers Muziek shop could be interesting.
it might be possible to chat with Jerome.
ask some questions how he wired up the humbucker, if the switch is standard and so on.

or phone him.

Thanks z! October 29th, in that case.
I hope that's really the show it's from - rs.com have a nasty habit of mislabelling photos
just to see if we're paying attention, I guess.

They got that tele in Roskilde where Keith played it at D&G. I don´t think Jeroen built this one. He built the black relic Keith played during D&G in Werchter.

Whether he built one or both, I vote someone should phone him -

Looks like this one's brand name starts with an "S".

When did Keith acquire his guitar named Gloria? It's mentioned in the biography by Bockris written 2003. Gloria is a 1954 Esquire five string with an Anderson pickup in the neck, a beat-up "parts" guitar said Pierre in a recent interview. Did it first appear in the 1980's as Bockris implies?

I blew up the size but it's still not legible. It seems to say... Sema?

Jema?

I Googled both and nothing came up.

What is Keith's new non Fender Telecaster
Posted by: vudicus ()
Date: November 6, 2014 16:22

What's this new Telecaster Keith seems to be using?
The body seems to be a replica of one of his 50's Tele's with the added Humbucker. but the headstock looks more like that of a Strat. The logo looks like Jones, James or Janus or something similar. Could this be a new Ted Newman Jones Tele?

Anyone know more about this?
