Oh look: A clip about Jeroen and the Roskilde Werchter guitar: [www.jeromescustoms.com]
Cool story, nicely told! Now what about this other one?!

Might be a Jerome's Custom's Tele and yes Ted Newman Jones is back in business, he just wrote me!

Yeah I strongly believe it's a Jerome's Customs out of the Netherlands.

Ted Newman Jones had nothin' to do with this one!

The black relic tele Keith used for D&G in Werchter is made by Jeroen (Jeromes Customs). Not sure about this one, they got it for Roskilde, i will ask Jeroen if he built this one for Keith as well.

The headstock logo doesn't match.
but do ask Jeroen, JumpinJeppeFlash. he might be able to tell what it is.

At the Sydney concert on the 12th November I was very close to both Keith and Darryl Jones, during Miss You, Darryl had a new guitar with the same logo as the one everyone is questioning.

Link to Miss You is below (watch around the 3.40 mark)

I am guessing that Darryl also has had a GAS day and purchased the new bass and had the guitar thrown in for keith to try from whomever the maker is.

Darryl is perhaps the best clue as to the origins of the guitars

Attached is a a good picture of Darryls bass, which is the same logo as Keiths, does not appear to be Darryl Jones Lakland bass, it is a bass brand like the guitar brand that I am unfamiliar with.

It does say "Jones", but who is this Jones? I can't find anything about it anywhere.
Pierre said "Darryl Jones". Has Darryl started his own label? Is it another Darryl Jones, a luthier with the same name? Still a mystery...

Maybe worth asking the man himself if he's into luthier-ing.

There are rumour's that Darryl is no longer associated with Lakland bass guitars as he is no longer featured on their web site. The headstock photo of the bass in high res provided by Z whilst uninteligible, has some familiar characteristics.

Look at the small print under the Jones logo and also to the right of the logo, the layout of the headstock logo is almost the same as Fenders, most manufacturers don't worry about this detail.

The bass appears to be a very well made guitar, unique in design rather than a knock off, web research on Darryls guitars / acquisitions draws a blank, if you were a custom guitar manufacturer you would be promoting that Darryl was using your guitars.

If you were Fender, you would let Darryl trial the guitar , for a few months with a headstock logo that would wouldn't immediately tie back to the company until Darryl's contractual obligations with Lakland are concluded.

Who else would have the resources to build custom basses and guitars and have Darryl and Keith try them on this tour. My guess would be to stand by for a new product endorsement between Fender and Darryl. (Keith wont be endorsing, just Darryl, as Darryl has consistently talked up Fender basses even during his endorsement period with Lakland) Namm is in January 2015, so announcement around then.

Your point about Darryl and Lakland is interesting, Tubeman. But I can't believe Fender has anything to do with these guitars. The "Jones Tele" of Keith doesn't look like something that Fender would give their hand to.

Not Micawber...lets call it Doom & Gloom Tele for now.

Interesting tidbit about the Cream T Mash pickup.
"Keith is using his in a coil-tapped configuration".
