No, wait, they didn't show up for that gig. Still, I saw them big as life.

We´ve had so many threads about our concert experiences (number of concerts, best show, first show etc.).

I must admit, this thread is quite different. To me, it´s extremely moving. Creates a certain atmosphere...

My last show was in the rain in Philadelphia, 7-23-19...

Still holding out hope they'll return to the stage somewhere, sometime...

My youngest daughter, at 16, was with me for her second Stones gig, and our cheapo $1 Dollar General rain parkas came in very handy that night!

It just struck me that my first time seeing The Stones was on a rainy night in Cincinnati on 9-14-89...

In Miami 2019. They moved the show date up by a day to allow enough time to pack up the stage before the hurricane hit. The stones finished the show in the rain while the hurricane brewed offshore. I’m optimistic that was not the final show.

Prague – but I've been too far away from stage, thus it doesn't really count (the show before that was Stuttgart)

Washington DC 07/03/2019. 50th anniversary of Brian Jones'passing away. They played MercyMercy that night. Last time the Stones played that song was in England for Hyde Park show 1969, honoring Brian. In DC Mick mentioned Don Covay the songwriter who was from DC. I took it as a tribute to Brian Jones which made that moment super special.
Rockandroll,
Mops

I sort of think this song was in a way a tribute to Brian. Others may disagree but that was the vibe I got from it.

Sad they never mention Brian much even when Mick plays harmonica on the songs which Brian use to play harmonica on.

If this ends up being my last show (God, I hope not!) then honestly I’m okay with that. It was a great, great concert. The band was locked in, the crowd was hyped and I’ve got great memories with my wife and introducing my niece to the Stones. Besides I made a new friend with the people sitting next to us.

Last time for me was Santa Clara.
Fantastic night, LD Pit- Ronnie's side.

Made a point of getting in position to film the final bows, which I never do.
Knew it was the last show of the tour for me, and what a great show it was.

May be the last time... I don't know, oh no.. winking smiley

Me too. Was recording just left of the B-stage and took my son who ended up with a pit ticket thx to Hairball. Amazing night and more likely than not my last Stones show although still holding tickets to San Diego and Austin.

Orlando, 2015

Took my 9-year-old daughter.

When I was 9, in 1977, my dad took me to see Elvis.

Seeing Elvis is something I can claim for the rest of my life. I've never met anyone my age (54) who has seen him.

I want my daughter to be able to claim the same thing with the Stones.

Took her to see McCartney a year later.

Glendale, AZ, August 26, 2019. I had originally bought a second level ticket with a great view of the stage. But as the date of the concert approached, I thought, what if this is the last time I get to see them———so because of the rescheduled date, the Friday before the show, I canceled my ticket for a full refund and then bought a pit ticket (I checked first to make sure pit tickets were still available). I am SO glad I did that. I was on the rail and the show was amazing. I hope it’s not my last one, but if it turns out to be, it was truly wonderful. God, how I love the Rolling Stones!

1st time: age 18, summer of 1989, Raleigh, NC (saw the The Who & The Stones in the same summer, both for the 1st time)

Last time: 1994, Raleigh NC, I worked Security for the show, even got backstage, but the band was on stage at the time.

By '89 it was obvious that Mick's voice wasn't what it was compared to even the early 80's (their last tour at the time). Even noticed a difference b/w '89 vs. '94 voice.

Also I didn't care to hear anything written after Undercover LP. Though the Sessions/Outtakes/Unreleased for Dirty Work & Steel Wheels has some decent songs on them, but the studio LP's themselves were lacking imho. It has taken me until 2019 just to appreciate the DW/SW Outtakes/Sessions, so maybe one day I'll appreciate the last 6 studio albums. HM to Blue & Lonesome.

Glastonbury...so if it was the last time, it couldn't have been more fitting as I've been going to Glasto since 1979 and watching the Stones live since Les Abattoirs.

Compared to many on here I haven't seen them that many times, I had a count through and it only adds up to around 15 gigs but some of them were classics.

I also had the pleasure of seeing the New Barbarians at Knebworth...

I'm happy enough with that!

That was also my first show. The one and only, as it turned out. I had waited years to see them and I remember walking out and thinking, 'That's it, I've seen them before they break up for good.' Life always interfered with me seeing them again, but I'm OK with that. The stadium experience doesn't do much for me. I've seen Dylan at a fairground, the Kinks in a small club and my brother's band in a bar and remember those more vividly. I do remember in Raleigh that Keith ran all the way up a ramp (or stairs) to play a solo, which amazed me.
