The last time you saw The Rolling Stones onstage...
Posted by: TooTough ()

Today it´s exactly one year since I last saw the band on stage...
East Rutherford, NJ, USA, August 5th, 2019

This is maybe the last bow I witnessed. Right now I can´t imagine
them to tour again...but: same thoughts as 1990, 1995, 1999, 2007...smiling smiley

Which Stones´ show was your last?

That was back in 2014, at Stockholm. A great lucky dip seat. Jagger was in fire then, probably the best show from him I ever seen live. The rest were concentrated backing him up the best they can and were surprsingly focused (remember, this tour was the first after the tragedic death of Mick's "lover and best friend"). Still Taylor, Lisa and Bobby onboard.

Most probably that was my last Rolling Stones show. Leaves me great memories.

Chicago Show 1, 2019.

I had booked flights in to Boston and out from New York to London with the intention of going to Foxboro and the 2 New Jersey shows (original dates) followed by a tourist trip to DC. When the tour was rescheduled, Chicago 1 was the only show I could possibly make without changing my flights so I cancelled DC and got a treacle slow Amtrak train there from Philly, stayed 2 nights in Chicago and then the Greyhound back to New York the day after the show, just in time for my flight home.

A memorable crazy trip but worth it as always cool smiley It could easily end up being my final show, which would otherwise have been Warsaw the year before.

I saw Ronnie's 2 Chuck Berry Tribute shows in London last November but no other Stones were present so don't think I can count that winking smiley

July 3rd 2019 --- Washington DC --- FedEx field

Man it was HOT, the band played great I thought.

They played Mercy Mercy, for the first time since the 60's

The return of the B Stage really made the stadium feel more intimate, no big hydraulics, they just walked out there -- with 2120 South Michigan Ave playing over the loud speakers -- Angie, and a great version of Let It Bleed played acoustically.

Snagged a great ticket the day of the show, and so glad I did -- really had a great time.

13 months ago ---and it was such a pleasant surprise to see they were going to be here again this spring ---

I was there too. I remember while exiting, Aretha's I Say a Little Prayer was playing. I'm sure this was chosen as the hurricane was quickly approaching the area.

I think this song was played at every 2019 show after the last song. At least at all shows I've been to including my last one in Pasadena.

Funny, I was at Pasadena too but I didn't notice that. I love all shows but I had a particularly great time at Pasadena. I was with a group of crazies. So much fun.

My last show was August 5 in Jersey as well. I left a couple days later and ended up trapped in the Newark Airport for THIRTY HOURS! A memorable trip to say the least.

Last time for me was Santa Clara.
Fantastic night, LD Pit- Ronnie's side.

Made a point of getting in position to film the final bows, which I never do.
Knew it was the last show of the tour for me, and what a great show it was.

May be the last time... I don't know, oh no.. winking smiley

Less than a year ago...August 26, 2019 at State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ.
Took the gamble with Lucky Dips and landed in the Pit on Keith's side (had the same good luck at Santa Clara a couple weeks earlier).
Throughout the Glendale show was savoring every second as I had a weird feeling that might be my last time ever seeing them.
Then they announced another US NoFilter leg for 2020, and breathed a sigh of relief...was thrilled at the thought of being able to seem them just one more time at San Diego....
And then the world turned upside down @#$%&! . Seems that weird feeling I had during the Glendale show was more than just a feeling....it was the rock and roll Gods sending messages haha....
Feeling content though, and if Glendale was the very last time I ever saw the Stones so be it - the four shows I saw of 2019 (Chicago 2, Santa Clara, Pasadena, and Glendale) were all superior and icing on the cake.

Washington DC 07/03/2019. 50th anniversary of Brian Jones'passing away. They played MercyMercy that night. Last time the Stones played that song was in England for Hyde Park show 1969, honoring Brian. In DC Mick mentioned Don Covay the songwriter who was from DC. I took it as a tribute to Brian Jones which made that moment super special.
Rockandroll,
Mops
