Better choices for 1989 release?

The Atlantic City 1989 show will be a welcome release, but to me the PPV copies are good enough quality. I would rather have them release one or more of the other 1989 shows they professionally recorded, part of some of which were used for Flashpoint. Other 1989 soundboards available are East Troy, Sep 9. Atlanta NOv 21. Jacksonville NOv 25. Clemson Nov 16. MOntreal NOv 13 and NOV 14. I could do without the guest performances in favor of new soundboard versions of some of the other songs. Also, no matter what show, if the mix they release is just like the flashpoint mixes it will be a fantastic sound. P.S. Don't shorten any songs like on Flashpoint [SFD for example].

There is also Dallas 11.11.1989. A great Keith soundboard.

New Orleans is a fantastic perf... not sure though this one was recorded with "pro" (16 or 32 tracks) gear.

Well judging from the trailer, the release will be a huge upgrade to the distant arena sound of the PPV and the bootlegs, so I#m looking forward to this show. Don't see much better choice options from 1989, but the bonus CD should have included more songs (factory girl etc.).

I for one would love to hear a professionally released soundboard recording of the Clemson show.

Los Angeles 3rd show Saturday night October 21 1989. Stunning gig.

Okay, I'm sticking my neck out here. The sound on Atlantic City was good but not the best possible. I think it had to do with the location. Kind of a bouncing, tinny sound. Not the best acoustics I guess.

I would love a show from urban jungle. I’d be happy with entire Barcelona 1990 show

Do you really find the sound on 7th Of July, Barcelona, Live At The Max etc superior?

I don't.

No I don't, Dandy. I guess Atlantic City is the best there is from 89/90.

It’s is just easy money. They don’t have to do a lot on it is my guess.

As I remember this is the show with the Guns and Roses guys as guests. This is
probably the attraction for this particular release from the 1989 tour.

Since we are all dreaming, I think the best show to release from 1989 would be New York MSG 1972. All shows in sterling sound.

But those don't exist either.

Darn

MSG '72 is at the top of my list for a future vault release.

That would be quite the irony as in the early 90's they fought tooth and nail against the Tsp boss to prevent the AC set to be sold legally in Europe!

yep..and it sounded great then...and now. So why all the excitement I wonder?..you just KNOW the Stones will remix it horribly...horns, piano, keyboards, backup singers to the fore!!!

Is there any type of soundboard in circulation from the Clemson show? I know a couple tracks were used on Flashpoint.

I've heard a soundboard (some tracks). Keith was singing a couple of them with laryngitis. Sounded great apart from the vocals smiling smiley

Can't recall which bootleg, though.

A good choice for an Urban Jungle release would be London 6th of July. We got Factory Girl on Flashpoint and three more tracks from this show coming on the bonus disc of the AC release.

Also, the gems for me will be the Toronto September 3 tracks on the bonus CDtongue sticking out smileylay With Fire and Dead Flowers.

Thank you for your reply.

The 24th was the from the vault release in 2017. I think the only one most fans don't have would be the third pro-shot show, from the 27th. That one would include Angie.

26th was released worldwide with a physical release in 2015 (digitally in 2012). 24th only in Japan.
