OT: A short hit of singer B.J. Thomas

For some us, his hits were part of our everyday listening experience back in the day. He did a great version of Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", which is a blues song lyric wise. A guilty pleasure for me is his "Rock and Roll Lullaby" which, if I remember right, has Duane Eddy on guitar and the Beach Boys singing backup.

For me, it's all about the Raindrops...from seeing Butch Cassidy in '69 to having it played constantly on the radio around the the same time...

Prior to that Hooked on a Feeling, and quite a few years after that Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song.....that's as much as I know about him - the big hits!

Just looked up and listened to Rock and Roll Lullaby, and surprised I didn't recognize it as it evidently it was a pretty big hit at the time making it to #15 on the billboard charts 1972,
and I was pretty much glued to the radio around that time. Nice tune.

Follow-up to Raindrops, also written by Bacharach-David.

NRBQ has been covering this in concert in the last few years.
