Origins of the Albums' names??

Each Rolling Stones' record is called a name. A couple of times it was the name of one of the songs on the record (Some Girls,IORR,etc..) but most of the time it seems not to be connected to anything particular; just a title. Who picks up the names and is there a discussion about(like Keith ready to call his lawyer if he doesn't like itsmiling smiley?

Voodoo Lounge is a well known story.

There was a thread recently which went into depth about the covers. It was a good read.

The fact that the titles usually don't have a direct connection with the songs show that the Stones record songs as they come and then pick up the ones they like the most; no concept. Or maybe Tattoo You with a side with rockers and the other one with slower songs.

I have also wondered how they came up with the album titles. An album is sort of like a book in a way....

Shakespeare once wrote "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"....or would it?

Here is another thread on album titles

STICKY FINGERS became LET IT BLEED, which was originally AUTOMATIC CHANGER.

I think the TATTOO YOU story is bunk.
