The Stones was always a dance band. The falsetto thing was a surprise in ER but no surprise they do these funky disco flavour songs. I don't recall that much flack at the time.

Dance is probably only song considered "Disco," Miss You, Emotional Rescue, etc... can be classified as pop songs as opposed to disco.
