Mick's birthday, in Tuscany yesterday

An evening in Castagneto Carducci overrun with posters celebrating Mick's birthday and the music of the Stones pumping out of every bar and cafe. Somebody is projecting videos and films. I make my way up to the castle with my family on tow. There is a guard at the gate: a good sign. Nothing is moving and there isn't a sound to be heard. So I turn round and head home with the family. About midnight, my son and I make the trip back to the castle. We can hear a band playing Tarantella for the guests. Someone says its Sardinian others think it is from Salerno. After an hour and a half of Tarantella, at 1.18 in the morning, Mick comes on and Living in a Ghost Town on guitar and tambourine comes over the wall. What an experience...only me and my son are there to hear it. Then, somebody introduces Zucchero . First song is Con le mie Lacrime; with just a few forgotten words and Mick, who takes up with As Tears Go By, just like at Lucca. Zucchero and Mick duet on Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime, then pass on to other boooooring songs by Zucchero.
I can't hear Mick any more. He's probably gone to bed. It is 2.30 in the morning by now and I have got to get my boy home too.
Sici (thanks to Carla and Tom for traslate in english)

Thank you for your cool story! My birthday is on the 25th. My mother reminded me on that day, few days ago, that I was born at 11:15pm; 45 minutes short of having been born on 26th!!
Rockandroll,
Mops

What a cool experience for you and your son, Sici. I’m glad for you and also glad to hear that Mick was enjoying his birthday and making some music. You got to hear the first live LIAGT. That’s one for the ages! Thanks for sharing your story.
