By a decent one (easy to fret). You can get a good one in the $400+ range. Most of the names ya know have a good beginner's model.

Don't get a Chinese acoustic guitar. Note that
almost all of them are in your price range.

Try the "Seagull S6 Original", made by Godin Guitars,

You don’t say how old your daughter is, but you need guitar neck that she can get her hand around. So narrow enough that she can play a bar chord with her thumb at the back of the neck.
Also the neck “action” should low enough that she can hold down chord shapes easily. So the strings should not be set too high.
Finally, may I suggest starting with a nylon strung acoustic before progressing to steel strings. Often beginners have problems with sore finger tips with steel strings before the tips harden up. Dipping finger tips in mentholated spirit does help to toughen soft skin over a few weeks.
Also practice songs she likes not boring practice pieces.
Another good tip......when she can play the basics well and knows a few songs....each new day she picks up the guitar, place the hand somewhere new on the neck and start learning / playing from that position....it really frees up how you think about the instrument.

That is some of the best advice I have heard for a new to the instrument beginner . Such a lot of practical advice with starting on a nylon string guitar as far as the fingertips go and sore fingers being a turn off -real sage advice ! I really like the advice of practice songs that she likes ! that is a winner right there . Best piece of advice also being to p[lace her hands on a different position on the neck and start learning there and get comfortable up and down the fret board . Are you a guitar/music teaching professional ? Bravo , on really quality advice !
