Weahd that discussion when the tracks appeared on YT on 2019-12-31 and what's obvious is there is a world of difference between this version of LIV and the one we know (on the LIB album).
So I ventured to say it's from 1968 not 69 and much to my surprise (and delight) the supremely knowledgeable Nico zentgraf id the track as being recorded on may 23, 1968.

This early 1968 version proves it again!

Compare it to the LIB version and here is what The Rolling Stones are all about. They dig themselves into a song (either from another artist or written by themselves) and finally come up with what I call "a Rolling Stones song". And in 98% of the cases it's what a true Stones fan wants to hear. Sometimes, under pressure of circumstances, they could have made the odd song even better, but hey, they are human alright.
The other day I compared (again) Roadrunner by the Pretty Things and the (not good enough for the band to release it) version by The Rolling Stones. My goodness, the Stones were such a powerband with Charlie and Bill laying down the fundamentals in a way no other band could come even close. What a luxery it was for Keith, Brian and Mick to freewheel on that.

The best version will always be the Ladies and Gentlemen 1972 performance,where Mick Taylor plays one of the greatest solos ever and Jagger outdoes the original Robert Johnson vocal.

This is definitely the track from the studio outtakes released temporarily via youtube on Dec 31, 2019. It was recorded at Olympic Sound Studios in May 1968.

There are even better highlights in that set, such as rough, instrumental early versions of "Stray Cat Blues" and "Midnight Rambler", and a Country-Boogie instrumental version of "Honky Tonk Women".

If the rights to these recordings were in the Stones' quarters, they would have been released in a Dylan type "Bootleg Series" long time ago, I suppose.
