Michel Gondry's Gimme Shelter (live 97) music video

I've never seen this before, just stumbled over it on youtube yesterday.
A music video by Michel Gondry for a live version of Gimme Shelter.

The only information I found was on Nico Zentgraf's website:
"981100A November: THE ROLLING STONES.
Promotional CD-single (Virgin CDVDJX 2880). Producers: The Glimmer Twins.
- Gimme Shelter (MJ/KR) -Port Chester 25.10.97; Radio edit
Note: One promo film for this song was compiled by Michel Gondry (includes no Stones footage!)"
It's kinda strange to have one of the most acclaimed music video directors (he also did the LARS video) for a music video of the '97 no security live version (and then not even use live footage).
Was this aired a lot back then?
Does any of you know anymore about this? I'm really curious...
