We hail them as stars but would you let your son be raised by a Rolling Stone?

It's hard to know what really goes on in families, but overall they seem to have done well. They've certainly gotten better with practice.

True that.

Is there a link anywhere to the actual items in the Stones auction?

I for one am very interested to see what RS memorabilia he will be selling off. No doubt some will be crap, and most will be out of my price range, but still interesting to see what's on offer.

No catalogue yet available, assuming it's the memorabilia auction next April:

At any rate, I feel for the 'kid'. I hope he's gotten his own life together, and has escaped the shadow of his stepfather. I have no experience with heroin, but coke, and it's dirty cousin, crack, make liars of us all.

I have even more respect for Keith now.

I mean if being a Stone's kid leads you to drug addiction Marlon should have died in his 20's. But no, and he's straight as an arrow. That proves Keith raised him well and put him on the right path.
I suspect he told him drugs are not funny and heroin is more like a (often deadly) curse. Nothing glamorous in it.

It doesn't necessarily prove anything of the sort! It is not unknown for siblings brought up in the same household to end up on drastically different paths - one on the straight and narrow and the other a hopeless addict. Hard to tell whether a person's choices are more down to nature or nurture, but that's a can of worms in itself!

The stepson seems to have chip on his shoulder of some sort, but I imagine it must have been truly bizarre to have a drug addicted Ronnie as a stepfather.
In defense of Ronnie, if his #1 priority was drugs and alcohol and he could barely even take care of himself, can't expect him to take care of anyone else.
Whatever the case, a messed up situation that must have affected more than just the stepson.

Im sure Keith had help from others including his mum. I dont think Ronnie was a good father. Let’s be honest here. Now maybe but hardly when he was an addict and an alcoholic.

It is not suprising. Ron Wood was not an accountant working from 8 to 15, and catethism teacher at the parish on fridays and proud member of the stamp collection club of his neighborhood.

He's been a Rollin Stones member and a person able to party with Keith Richards for years.

Regarding rock stars we'd better focus in their side as musicians...

I have to point out that it was Jo Wood who started dating a drug using , heavy drinking rock star and exposed her son to all that that entails. Maybe she should have put her son first ?

Oh! hang on..........$$$$$$$$$ eye rolling smiley
