The Godfather I, II, III - I'll give you I and II, but who would ever suffer through III again?

I always thought that III (minus Sofia Coppola, of course) is better than II

I'd agree with LeonidP - Godfather III should have never been made it's that bad.
I've always considered I and II as one ultra lengthy movie at just over six hours long - amongst my all time favorite movie(s) ever, and can be watched repeatedly.

Agree completely.
Huge fan of I and II. Have to stop and watch whenever I stumble across one.
III might have been better if they were able to sign Duvall, but they lowballed him, and apparently compromised on everything else as well.

I've also got a great liking for III; it does fall somewhat into place, albeit you can see why Sophia Coppola became a director rather than an actress.

You have to think of the Godfather as being a modern King Lear. It starts with the old king, Brando, and how power is going to be passed to the three sons. The eldest son is too hot tempered, which becomes his undoing: the middle son is ineffectual, borderline impotent: the youngest son is the favourite, who becomes the most ruthless of them all.

The rise and fall of the youngest son, Michael, also parallels Lear, specifically with the howl of grief at the end of the film. Lear was also preoccupied with family, which became his undoing, as was Michael. Michael's desire to protect his family became pathological in I & II. By III he was no longer able to, debilitated by diabetes, and beset by enemies on all sides.

James Bond On her Majesty Secret Service . 1969 with George Lazenby , who get this was NEVER an actor ? True Story , he conned the producers that he was an actor and was canned after he showed up at the Oscars I believe with long hair and a long beard looking like a hippie and freaked out the producers who promptly fired him and brought back Sean Connery for Diamonds Are Forever ,who was released after his fifth installment and OO7 due to lack luster ticket sales for You Only Live Twice . I am bummed that due to the virus the Fifth installment of Daniel Craig as OO7 has been shelved until next spring 2021 .

The Wrong Missy

I saw The Wrong Missy on Netflix the other day with David Spade. It was hilarious, with shades of The Three Stooges, porno, and Laurel and Hardy. A very good laugh.

I thought it was hilarious, but a few people I recommended it to didn't think it was. She was fantastic, over the top, but in a good way.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Mediocre. Mildly funny. Made for TV movie. It wouldn't have cost any more to look at the script and see what didn't work.
