So a temporary glitch only. Now switching to English shows me the English page, too. It didn't before.

It's a pity there isn't a 4CD version without the vinyl.

No temporary glitch - your link was the normal German setting (it's the same on Super Deluxe Edition). In my link above the English-switch is "integrated".

I know the link was in German. I just posted it so the non-German speakers would get to the item directly without having to deal with a German search engine.

Just checked again: When using the English page I still get the search result in German but once I click a particular item from the list of search results, now the English version opens ... be that as it may, jpc should work on it!

I ordered the vinyl picture disc today from Udiscover.com with free shipping <<< Tattoo>>> whereas yesterday I saw shipping from the official Stones site was $6.75 - glad I waited.
Free shipping applies to all orders no matter how big or small from Udiscover, and might eventually buy the two cd set....maybe even the cassette for old times sake.

He had supposedly recorded with them in 1973 on Black Limousine as well as had worked with Mick in July and then in December at The Wick, where IORR came about.

So perhaps that's why.

TY is, officially, an album of leftovers. No newly recorded songs specifically for it. The last recorded songs on it with the band are from the ER sessions in 1979.

Overdubbing for TY started in October of 1980.

Not a weird question at all - and yes, it is Jagger. I’ve read that the idea of all the tattoos was to help camouflage the aging process.....

They just aren't that good as Stones songs.
For other artists they may be standout tracks.

I've played it several times and it just hasn't grabbed me.

Fiji Jim should have been the first track released, IMO.

This is not entirely true, when you have an album project in mind you try to include the material that is as uniform as possible, this also has a lot to do with the release period and consequently with the fashions.
This led to the exclusion from the various albums, even songs higher than those included or different versions, in order to obtain a coherent album in the end.

I disagree here:
In my opinion a great release: some known and some unknown outtakes made officially and as a bonus a Wembley 1982 show!

Tattoo You was always one of my favourite albums maybe because it mostly had studio outtakes recorded during the 1970's on it and now getting more of this is an absolute treat!

if the running order is correct it is June 26 – Chantilly Lace was the 10th song on June 26 but the 8th song on June 25 (at least according to setlist.fm)

Not correct: both shows were identical, Chantilly Lace as 10th song and both shows including Twenty Flight Rock and Going To a Go Go.
