Was Sir Michael's fight with the microphone stand overdubbed?

Yes and with Eric C. and John Lee Hooker - I always thought that legal/rights problems slowed down the release of this Stones gem - like not only the Stones but also the other artists and their managements had to have their say.

I really hope it's just uncut and not too much edited or overdubbed.

Because I will immediately hear any difference from this DVD since I know the gig note by note and by heart, hehehe ...

Hopefully, we'll get the great Undercover (Of The Night) without the overdubs.

I can't speak for Undercover (Of The Night) but if it's not chopped and presented the way it was on the B-side we should get the kind of decent-OK unedited performance of Undercover Of The Night the way it was.

HA HA! I forgot about that. With the delay on the vox, it fits right in!

It's mixed out on the B-side, which they posted 2 years ago:

Wow! Great to have this official!
Hope they don't use the cut and mixed versions of some songs they already edited before, like they did on Hamton (Miss You).

I've always watched this on YouTube. Hopefully this will be high quality. Was there a backstage video? Bill Grahan still trying to beat Wyman in ping pong?

They've played it since then but at the time I was thrilled to hear "Salt of The Earth" live. Axl didn't ruin it much either LOL

Some of my favourite versions of tracks on this show.

Miss You : with the adlib by Jagger "I Miss You Girl, I Miss You Girl, I Miss You Baby when I'm Rockin round this World"

Salt Of The Earth: Love Axl's Yelps, he had such a piercing howl

Bitch: Just hold on

Midnight Rambler: The launch of the 2nd half is ear shattering

Undercover: Apart from being the only time i'd seen this performed, this is great

Apart from Hampton (with the George Thorogood support slot) this is my fave filmed Stones Concert

It's great! It's what I expected!
I am from Argentina, and for some reason of the nature my television of that time with analogical antenna, captured a channel from Uruguay that just broadcast the show Live !! I could not believe it!!! I watched the entire show, except for Jumping Jack Flash, which we didn't watch because the broadcast satellite was cut.
1 or 2 weeks later he broadcast a channel in Argentina and in two parts. then on the radio. I recorded it on cassette and on vhs and to this day I still listen to it as if it were a premiere ...

Part of the broadcast went missing because the US invaded Panama and the government temporarily jammed the satellites.

From what I remember that was during Satisfaction.

Yeah I agree Dandy! It's also a cool thing that they've often used an "opening pair/set" of songs that they think go well together:

Start Me Up/Bitch (and sometimes Shattered, great Keith riffs goes well after SMU)

Satisfaction/Let's Spend The Night Together (ever present 97-98 but also used once in Melbourne 2006)

JJ Flash/IORR

Enough material for an entire Conference! (To quote a famous psychiatrist visiting Torquay in 1975...) smileys with beer

Well hip hip hooray finally . It will be interesting for me to compare with my disc at home with the running time in minutes and seconds on the bottom of the screen which looks like it came from the video feed and is pristine in both audio and video . What I will look for is the edits of course , same as my disc of Hampton 1981 where a lot of the hedonistic backstage stuff was cut and some of the stuff in between the songs . This release will be epic , to get the Red Rooster with EC , and then EC hanging in between Ronnie and Keith behind John Lee Hooker totally tearing it up on Boogie Chitlin which is freaking awesome .Salt of the Earth is so so only because of the inclusion of Axl , which I would have rather had Slash with Izzy . No big deal . This show is killer , even though this ushered in the "Vegas Era " , this show starts off with a bang and that's including the pandemonium building pyro entrance of the Stones intro to Start Me Up, Sad Sad, Sad , a terrific Undercover Of The Night , a truly masterpiece of Harlem Shuffle , which was Killer with Lisa Fisher ( Miss You still with that sweet voice of yours , Sorry Sasha ! ) and Bernard . Such a magnificent performance that features the Rolling Stones in there full power and glory !!!!!!!!!!!

Yup and just like in 81 they had the supernatural ability to rise above themselves in terms of performance quality just for the PPV show.
A normal band would have given a clean well-oiled end-of-tour performance for the cameras, but in 81 and 89 the Stones added the "x factor" to that gig.

They are amazing!
