Posted by: paulspendel ()

I have been commissioned to write a Dutch magazine about the connection between The Stones and The Netherlands. Any Dutch IORR'ers out there with a nice story? Just let me know: Paul@psc-a.nl

Best cover band for the Taylor years? Ask Mathijs on this board...

I have been in touch with Mathijs before. His rather dismissive attitude didn't quite match my positive view on things. But he is always free to buy a copy, you know.

I once wrote something about a tour aprox 15 years ago... think it was in 2003, it was about the shows I saw in Europe. It was posted on the website of 40 Licks, but I cant find it right now...

I organized the 2004 40st Anniversary of The Rolling Stones doing their first ever live concert on the European continent in "het Kurhaus" (August 8, 1964 - August 8, 2004). I could have written a book about it, but ... no.
Rene Spork wrote a very nice book (!) about The Rolling Stones in connection with The Hague (incl. Scheveningen).

Parts of Black and Blue was recorded in Rotterdam.
+ The first Stones show outside of UK was in Holland I think.

I trust you know the site "www.dejongenskamer.nl". De owner is not really active anymore, but the info he has is really worthwhile reading!
