Well, he is in France hiding from taxes while Great Britain is suffering heavily from the virus. What a patriot. Well done, Sir!

evil tongues even say he's put an innocent barber at risk by having his hair cut

So the patriot factor is that it was a French barber and not a British one? winking smiley

Whatever he does or doesn't do, it seems Mick is doomed to bashing. IMHO, there are many more people in the public eye who are much more deserving of bashing in this pandemic crisis.

Well, we can't bash Trump here, but Mick we can...

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with criticism, but if just anything Jagger-related appears here - like that harmless funny cameo - for some people nothing but negativity comes to mind. I mean, just for their own health of mind, is this really a right place then to be (Jagger appears here a lot)? And this is not any pseudo-moderation to prevent people to speak their minds, but a genuine question.

Sorry Doxa, but it was too much of an obvious remark for me. I couldn't resist it. I have erased my posts now. Do not worry, carry on as normal. I'm down.

Don't worry, Stoneage. At the time I wrote my first post and there were not negative posts yet I was about to add that 'let's see how quickly someone finds some way to bash Jagger from this one'... The bashing also is a bit too obvious and predictable...

The newspaper is "La république du centre" a local one.
I can read it every day in my home town
I live in Châteauroux, 98 kms to Pocé sur Cisse...

I was surprised to see the smoking parts as well but I guess he is like Bill Clinton and doesn't inhale.

Very creative throwback to when he was a young boy.

That was a RIOT! Thanks for sharing! I shared it with my Facebook Stones fans...what a gas! Hope he is not inhaling cigs again...seems unlikely with the heart troubles he just had. It's funny to see him playing " the farmer"...not exactly a role you'd expect, still great to see him being creative and keeping busy. How do we know Matt Clifford produced this?

Me too - so surprised in fact that I fleetingly thought it must be old footage and that I'd been fooled into thinking it was recent!

Are we sure it is a cigarette he is smoking?

It's not really that funny to me, but the effort is appreciated. It's comforting during these times.

Yeah I feel the same, but considering Mick's not a comedian (or an actor), it was fun.
And nice to see him out of the rock and roll element...as downagain mentioned on the previous page "First time Mick has touched a hammer since 1961"...ha.

Relax boys ... its just a light hearted spin on
the old English short clips you'd often see years
ago in the movie theatres before the showing of the main film .....

This is what I remember seeing before the movie started back in the day. As a joke, everyone would clap while this played:

It's a play on Pathe news (from before the seventies) - they used to play a topical film/public information film before the movies.........[www.youtube.com] .......Mick et al would have seen hundreds of these in 'the flicks' at the Saturday morning matinee in the 40's/50's........
