Thanks for posting George. Just saw this clip on Jimmy Fallon (american late-nite talk show host) and after the video ended Jimmy said "and thanks to Mick and Matt for this". Mick definitely seems to be putting himself 'out there' lately.

Haha, that was a funny one. There is a bit of Monty Python there in Mick... Reminds nicely of his first tv/film appearance with his dad...

Thanks georgemcdonnell314.

Mick should have done the voice as well! His "war voice" in 'Being Mick' is so funny!

Altogether it starts to look like Jagger is a bit bored there in France... who knows what he comes up with next... (what about relaesing that GOATS HEAD SOUP reissue with bonus material as soon as "Living In A Ghost Town" starts to fade away... If he hadn't done his bit yet, he has have good time to finish that project, which he can do just by himself; seriously: since there is nothing else to do right now in the Stones front, why not letting that one out, no matter when it was originally scheduled to release.)

That´s a really good sense of humor, playing with
this "being old" theme. Well done. But now get back
to recording songs, Mick! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Well, he is in France hiding from taxes while Great Britain is suffering heavily from the virus. What a patriot. Well done, Sir!

evil tongues even say he's put an innocent barber at risk by having his hair cut

Whatever he does or doesn't do, it seems Mick is doomed to bashing. IMHO, there are many more people in the public eye who are much more deserving of bashing in this pandemic crisis.

That was freaking awesome , from playing some acoustic to some fix er up chores around the domicile to having a cig to doing some jumping jacks . All in all a typical day for the lead singer of the Rolling Stones . Ah the life of an English gent !

Sure Beast, I'm with you. I don't know if it's bashing though. It's more like pointing out some hypocrisy. Like praising the NHS while not paying taxes to it.
But don't worry, I'm the only one noticing things like that. Others don't. I tend to look for balance.

Let me put it this way: It was mentioned in that other thread, where Mick held up the #NHS-sign - so you're not alone.

But after all, this is where Mick lives. I don't think it's hypocrisy. What should he do, break the law to support the NHS and England? smiling smiley

Nah it's bashing.
No one knows who he gives charity to, The NHS likely makes the list.
And while he may not pay income taxes, I would bet the concerts they put on have sure generate quite a bit to the tax coffers over the decades, not to mention albums, merch, property taxes etc etc.

Good on Mick for staying so visible during the pandemic.
Loving it.

Fair enough!

I personally do not know the reason why he's in France. It may be for tax purposes or it may be that he prefers to be locked down in a more spacious place where he can more easily get fresh air and his young kid can run around etc. For all I know, he may have donated money to the NHS. I can only guess.

Either way, he and his fellow band mates have helped one way or another to keep a smile on my face during lockdown and this video of his for Save the Children is no exception.

A shout-out to KRiffhard too for posting those other two videos. I hadn't seen the first one before and it's hilarious! I love it when Mick gets into funny mode, as his true British sense of humour comes across in even the smallest of gestures.

He pays no tax in France? I understand there was good reason to leave the UK in 1970 (or whenever) with the crazy tax system they had then (I'm no conservative) but now?...........surely if he spends most of his time in France then he'd pay French taxes anyway. Are they that different nowadays?
Plus, everyone pays VAT (which goes to the NHS) in the UK even if they are only there for 10 mins............

I don't know much about such stuff, so, just wondering ..........

Maybe he just likes the weather better down there.

Great vid - Pathe News at it's best................
